Okay I guess but to get out my Karavaev low D I have to squeeze it up from the bottom, like the last toothpaste in a tube. I had been keeping it in a high wool sock and I went back to that after a few days of trying to get used to this. It’s nice but I found it impractical.

This case is great! It’s exactly the right size for my Rob Forbes derlin D keyless flute and I imagine it would fit most short foot derlin or carbon fiber models (but not the long foot flute models eg like a Seery) or a one piece flute like a bamboo one or something like that. The two loops on back are great because I was able to use them to strap it to my fiddle case and now I can always carry both flute and fiddle in one hand!

I needed something to protect my expensive Howard Low D whistle, and this works perfectly. If you own a low whistle, I highly recommend that you store it in a padded case like this to prevent scratches and dents.

I purchased this case for my Kerry Alto F whistle, and am very impressed. It is made of a high quality canvas and thick interior fleece lining which offers plenty of protection. The stitches are tough, and the case should last for many years to come. The heavy-duty velcro flap stays securely closed. If I had a negative, it would be the size. This case comes in lengths of 16" and 25". The shorter is perfect for higher whistles, and the 25" fits a low D (in this case, a Colin Goldie D at 23") wonderfully. The Alto F, at 19", falls between the two sizes offered. It would be great to see this case in a medium length.I'm very pleased with my purchase, and know that my instrument is well protected. Highly recommend.

I decided I wanted better protection for my Copeland low F whistle. This case is very nice and will handle whistles at least up to a low D.
