I bought this golf hitting pad to use for chipping in my backyard, and it's been fantastic! It's perfect for saving my lawn from divots while still getting in some good practice. The pad provides a nice, thick, consistent surface for chipping, and I’ve had no issues with it so far.I don’t really take full swings with my irons on the mat, so I can't speak to its durability under heavy use, but for chipping, it’s been holding up great. It’s easy to set up and really helps me focus on my short game without worrying about wrecking my yard.If you're looking to practice your chipping at home, have some fun, and keep your lawn intact, I’d 100% recommend this mat. It’s a solid option for any golfer looking to improve their short game!

This works great for my purpose. I use it in the backyard and chip balls up to 30 yards away. I like it because it's heavy and doesn't slide. I also like I can gently press it down into the lawn with my foot to give me a more normal lie. I was afraid the ball would sit to high on this while on the grass, but that wasn't the case. Seems like high quality. Only hit about 100 balls so far, but I'm really loving it!

I gave this away it really was too small for me to practice on and not my style. I really needed a larger mat.

For the price and material quality, this was a good buy and saves me from taking too many divots from the yard. Very maneuverable too. The mat is a bit tiny (8 by 16) plenty of area to hit the ball, however I find it to move with every hit, whether it be on grass or a hard surface. Guessing the larger mat would move a bit less.

Muy buena calidad, la talla es suficiente. La parte inferior es muy pesada y hace que se quede quieto. Si lo pones sobre césped probablemente te dure el mayor tiempo posible. He golpeado unas 600 bolas con él y no veo ningún desgaste.

I use this mat A LOT! I use it all the time when I go out to the driving range which is several times a week, and when I go, I'm hitting balls for over 2 hours each time. After 2 years of use, it's still going strong. Pro tip- when using it, don't place your ball any further back than mid-way. This will prolong the life of your mat. I learned this the hard way with my first one. I had "chunked" my iron shots with the first one, and it caused a separation of the turf from the underlying rubber bottom. Purely my fault; not a lack of quality with the mat. Having learned my lesson, I now place my ball in the center, or more towards the front. Now that I made that change in ball position, this mat can take a serious beating of thousands of balls without failing. It has a convenient eye-hole at the front end, so I hang it up in my shed when not in use. If there comes a day when I've finally worn this mat out, I won't hesitate to buy another one of these. I tried a Maxfli mat from Dick's Sporting Goods (cheaper than the Callaway), but the build quality was HORRIBLE. It started falling apart after 1-2 uses. But I can't say enough about how well built this Callaway mat is. Still going strong after 2 years!

PROs: Nice surface to hit off, convenient size for portability, rubber tee holder works well.CONs: as mentioned by a number of other reviewers, the glue holding the 'turf' to the rubber base just isn't durable enough. After a couple months of daily use (so, probably 5000 shots total) the turf has completely detached. I do 'chunk' my irons occasionally, so this isn't entirely unexpected, but it is disappointing.I plan re-use the turf material secured down to a larger base.

This is a professional-quality portable golf mat featuring a tight, dense hitting surface. Given the fact that it's bonded to a heavy rubber backing...and that the item weighs just over five pounds...it barely moves when struck.I had considered the smaller 8" x 12" size but am glad I chose the 12" x 24" version, which I feel is more practical. The larger size allows me to situate my Striker 3000 Compression Board perfectly on top of the mat, which would not have been possible with the smaller one.The tee holder is a nice touch...although any rubber tee will fit...as well as the built-in eyelet if you wish to hang the mat on a wall hook when not in use. Must say that I am thoroughly pleased with this product and recommend it to anyone who's looking to get some practice in at home.Item was shipped from Florida to California but I received it in just four days...via USPS Priority Mail...after it was indicated that the delivery date could fall anywhere between 10-14 days after placement of the order.

I've had this hitting mat for over a month now. It was purchased at the urging of my wife so that I would not wear a hole in the rug taking practice swings in doors. It is heavy duty and very solid feeling. It's the perfect size, especially for my indoor needs. I try to get in 20-50 practice swings with a 7 iron every day along with some random wedge and chipping swing practice. This thing shows zero signs of wear after a month of this use, and I am now expecting it to last for years. The rug I hit it on is thin and on a hard surface, so this mat does slide around a bit on full swings that would be taking a divot on normal turf. I don't have to readjust it on every swing and it doesn't bother me when I do have to, but it's worth mentioning. My only other issue is the smell. It smells like a tire factory; doesn't stink up the room or anything, but if you toss it onto a blanket or something like that to store it then you will have a rubber smelling blanket.Excellent quality product and I'm very pleased that I bought it.
