I don't need the really high end of the current range, but I tested that in the 3A range for 12V and 24V, it works reasonably well. Construction feels solid and terminals are good. Dial movement is smooth and does not resist being turned quickly. Some notes:- PWM frequency is approx. 680 Hz and does not change for different voltages or duty cycles.- Seems to be more efficient at 12V than 24V. - e.g. when comparing the power draw when dimming 12V and 24V, the 12V seems to be consistently lower draw as a percentage of the normal max draw when not using the dimmer. Further, when the dimmer is at full power, the 12V configuration is slightly under max power while the 24V uses 5-10% more power than when not using the dimmer at all.- The dimming knob reaches min and max power before the end of its rotation limits. This means that once 0% power is reach you can still turn left a few centimeters with no further reduction and the same is true on the max end of the dial. This extra play at the far left and right of the dial makes you think the dimming is not linear at the extremes, but actually, when you are turning past 100% or below 0%, nothing is changing. This also leads some reviewers to think that it dim lower than 30% when in fact it correctly dims down to 1%, then the additional travel once reaching 0% is misleading.- There is no on/off switch "click" at the bottom of the dial and at 0%, there is sometimes a fractional load depending on the device. Use a separate discrete switch.- Quiet- Doesn't seem to heat up for 3A or less. (didn't test higher)

Best option on the market to dim offroad lights for street use, etc.

I used this to add some dimming to my under counter LED trips. The device connects easily with the LED strip and the dial is easy to use. The construction is solid and is easy to mount securely underneath my kitchen cabinets.

This dimmer switch operates a 60" run of Kichler 24V dimmable tape light and it performs perfectly. I get no humming or flicker at any brightness setting, but this tape light brand is quiet with another dimmer switch brand so it may be the LED pulse width modulation is very compatible with dimmers. Illumination range is roughly 5% to 100%, with a smooth transition. No flickering. The installation is absolutely straightforward and stripped wire locks into the connections with ease. I think it took me more time to mount the dimmer to the wall than to connect the wires.

I bought this for my under cabinet 24v LED lights. This works as far as dimming the LEDs. But when you dim the lights this dimmer has a very noticeable high pitched whine to it. However, after2-3 days of use that noise went away. I guess there is some ‘burn in’ or something going on. When I have the dimmer set to about 50% level and I am close to it. I can hear a muffled whine from it. But I have to be listening for it to notice it. So I do recommend this and if I needed another dimmer like this I would choose this one.

Dimmer is worthless. It shows off and on with a dial. In off position is about 80% on and it flickers. In 100% on it was fine but I got it as a dimmer. It could be one that was returned damaged and just thrown into restocking but we will see what the manufacture does to replace it.

I bought the first one to dim my led console light which is 12v dc worked great . So I decided to try it on one of my 150w led follow spots, so it wouldn’t be so bright in smaller venues (At 100’ away it’s blinding to performers) it works fantastic! Now it’s not like a incandescent or quartz light that dims down in a smooth curve ! it dims down from full on downtown about 15% then shuts led off but that’s the case on all dimmable led lighting fixtures. Even with that it’s a definite and noticeable output difference of my follow spot. So if your looking to have a little more control of your led fixtures I think this could work for you

I generally have the mindset that if I know something is a cheap piece of crap from overseas, I shouldn't buy it, but I really needed a simple PWM circuit to test out as a motor controller. I took a chance, hoping that this would work.I finally got it and was wiring it up to my motor and power supply and right as I was about to connect the last wire to the circuit before testing it, I touched the wire to the terminal and the motor went full speed. I jumped in my chair since the dimmer was off. I tried it again, hoping I had hallucinated, and it did the same thing. I disconnected everything and tested the resistance between the V+ IN and V+ OUT terminals. No matter what position the knob was in, the resistance was a cool 4 Ohms. The same thing happened between the V- IN and V- OUT. If you don't know a little basic electronics, that essentially means that the dimmer was doing absolutely nothing. It could have just been two wires and functioned the same.I am disappointed, but not surprised. If I were you, I would steer clear of this product, and the 20 other ones that are identical on Amazon but with varying prices and strange names. Indusky? Supernight? Enthve? Rgbzone? Zookoto? Cllena? Is there some "weird name generator" they use? Who's coming up with this crap?! Anyway, rant over. Don't buy it.
