Got one for my husband's car which has some battery drain that we couldn't figure out. We even replaced the battery and still have it, this solves that issue though. It works so well I might get one for my van as well.

I have had this panel for 4 years on my 2006 GMC Sierra Duramax. I live in florida so this was a no brainer. I have it connected to my secondary battery(I have 2 AGM batteries) my batteries are split when the truck is off because of a isolator I added. So when I park the truck, this panel charges my secondary battery, thinking about buying another panel so each battery has a dedicated panel. You dont have to have split batteries for this to work, It works if you have two batteries connected(this is how i originally used it) this panel is very good with charging. Durability, I have beat this thing up pretty bad unintentionally, and the integrity is still as strong as it was on day one, no cracking, or chipping, I am impressed. Its small, you can hook it up or take it off quickly if you want, I have mine (hard wired) with simple wire terminals. Stop thinking about it. Go get one!

UPDATE: So while these chargers are everything I said they were, if you use it inside of a car, the plastic warps and the whole thing falls apart. So maybe good in a place that never gets warm or you're just going to use them outside (where they can be , but now feel cheated out stolen). I was once happy. but now feel cheated. DON'T BUY if you intend to keep INSIDE a car that gets a lot of sun! Yes I see the irony in that.Just got it, so don't know about the reliability, but my research says this is a dependable unit. It was easy peasy to set up. One car I could use the cigarette lighter plug, but the other I had to hook up straight to the battery. You have to be mindful of how you set up the clamps in that case. The light signals are a bit funky (flashing green means the collector is make electricity, solid green mean the battery is done, solid red means n and flashing red mean it's charging properly) so flashing red mean all good! This is a brilliant idea for people who have vehicles they don't drive often.

Solar panel failed after 9 months. Contacted Suner with problem and they sent me a new unit after verifying that the original panel had failed. Thank you Frank!

I've only had it 2 to 3 weeks. One time it seemed to drain my battery down to 6 v. I couldn't figure out why except possibly some what cloudy in AZ. I have no idea if the Batts drop to 6 v again if the panel will bring it up to 12.09 V . I had to jump restart the truck again to get it back up to 12.9v. I had to order another cord. The shortest size was 12 feet long & cost 18.00. There seems to be no way to tell how much power the panel is putting out at any particular time; which leaves you wondering. I'LL try to test the out going plug to see what I get at high noon. I hope this panel will work on its own for 3 to 6 mos while truck sits. I shut down truck because of high fuel cost and low rates. Update: I bought the long cord. I took it out of truck cab dash/windshield that faced north & relocated this to face south. I don't want to over exaggerate, so I'll just say it seems to work just fine. It has keep my batteries up to 12.4 + volts. It's now Nov 17, 23. I'm in the southwest. Will see how it stands up through the shorter days of winter. I got my fingers crossed. At this point I'm happy with this & would recommend it. 👌 I give this 4 stars for now. If it holds up during winter/short days I'll give it 5 stars.

It's solid, waterproof, uses standard SAE connectors, and should produce around 1A of current which will easily maintain most inactive 12V batteries. Support is excellent, and quick to respond to questions or issues. I actually bought 2 of these kits to maintain multiple vehicle batteries, or anything else 12VDC, and so far so good. Recommended.

I got this for one of our Prius’s because it often goes over a month between outings and more than once I’ve had the auxiliary 12 volt battery totally drained due to the slow drain from the smart key system that is always on. I got a ring terminal pigtail for the battery (in the rear on my model ) and can easily plug this unit into it. It works like a charm to maintain the battery’s charge which improves the battery life as well as no longer finding a dead car when you need it. It is important to know whether or not your model keeps the 12v cigarette lighter outlet live when the car is off in which case you can use the stinger with the plug for that. I guess that is common on American vehicles, but not on foreign ones which need a connection to the battery. There are good videos on the process. The unit protects against reversing the polarity and has indicator lights that let you know if you made an error, as well as letting you know when it is providing charging power. It is durably constructed. I am quite pleased with it.

Works as advertised.I did find it odd that is does not come with the suction cups for windshield mounting though, not even listed in the manual. The main cord from the panel that the various other attatchemnt chords plug into is 10 feet long, so you probably won't need any extenders. It is fairly beefy for the wattage, but if you want something smaller with the same power, price will increase steeply. I think this is a good deal.
