I’ve been using the SUNER POWER 10 Amp 12V MPPT Solar Charge Controller for a few weeks now, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Right out of the box, the setup was incredibly straightforward, with clear instructions that made installation quick and hassle-free.What really stands out is the efficiency of the MPPT technology. It significantly improved the charging performance compared to my old PWM controller, maximizing the energy harvested from my solar panels. I’ve noticed faster charging times and better battery management, even on cloudy days. The build quality is excellent—solid, durable, and designed to handle tough conditions. The LED indicators are bright and easy to read, giving me a clear status update at a glance. I also appreciate the multiple protections (overcharge, short-circuit, reverse polarity), which give me peace of mind knowing my system is safe.Overall, this is a reliable, high-performance solar charge controller that delivers exactly what it promises. It’s perfect for anyone looking to get the most out of their solar setup. I highly recommend it!

I was pleasantly surprised by the compact size of this controller. I’m using it to charge a portable power station I recently built, pairing it with a 100-watt solar panel and a 20Ah LiFePO4 battery. Setup was straightforward, and it worked flawlessly right from the start. My only minor gripe is the small display, but that’s more about my 65-year-old eyes than a fault of the controller itself! It performed well and charged the battery efficiently. Time will tell how durable it is over the long term, but so far, I’m quite satisfied.

I installed this compact MPPT controller on another small system I bought on Amazon. What makes it unique is that the solar panel powers the controller instead of relying on the battery, eliminating ghost voltage losses. The setup process is straightforward, and selecting the connected battery type is incredibly easy. In my case, I’m using it to keep an AGM battery trickle-charged through the winter without needing constant monitoring or trips to the site. I’m so impressed with its performance that I plan to purchase another one soon!

I'm using a 30W solar panel to charge two 12Ah 12V sealed batteries with a charge controller. Even on short, partly cloudy winter days, the batteries reach 100% charge before sundown. I power a 12V 12W bulb from dusk till dawn—all for free! The setup is water-resistant, but I keep the charge controller inside the battery box, mounted near the light and solar panel for added protection. I've already bought four of these setups and now have free lighting everywhere at night. Highly recommended!

What stands out most about this solar charge controller compared to similarly priced or more expensive units is its built-in multimeter for monitoring battery voltage and current. The MPPT controller performs exceptionally well, handling an 18V solar panel output even at a mere 2 watts on overcast days, and efficiently topping off a 12V battery, albeit slower than under full sunlight. I purchased this unit for my travel trailer to use while boondocking, and its ability to prevent overcharging makes it a safe and reliable choice. The SAE connector polarity aligns perfectly with standard battery and charger conventions for positive (+) and negative (-). I used alligator clips for the battery and a DC7909-to-SAE adapter, both wired correctly (battery + is female, charger + is male). While the black cables could cause confusion, the unit includes helpful tags. Impressively, the controller tolerates reverse polarity if misconnected, adding an extra layer of protection. The battery side features 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% status lights, along with options for standard, GEL, and Li battery types. I appreciate that it’s designed for 12V systems only and powers up in standard mode without requiring button presses. Another plus is that the unit claims zero battery drain when left connected, making it ideal for long-term use. Unlike some chargers with limited display states (e.g., charging or full), this unit provides detailed feedback, allowing me to estimate charging speed and completion time based on sunlight intensity. In testing, I paired the controller with a single Jackery SolarSaga and an ITEHIL 100W solar panel (18V at 5.5A). I observed four charging states:1.Bulk Charging (Constant Current): For batteries below 75%, delivering high current (e.g., 12.6V at 6.5A or 82W solar input). This is the fastest mode, and I expect it could handle the full 10A with a 200W solar input.2.Constant Voltage (Absorption): Above 80% charge, delivering 14.4V at 5.3A (76W), gradually tapering to less than 1A. This mode slows down as the battery approaches 95% charge, with the declining current indicating it’s nearly full.3.Surface Charge (Equalization): Around 13.5V and 0.1A to maintain the surface charge.4.Resting Mode: At 12.9V with no current draw until the battery drops to 12.8V, cycling back to mode 3. Modes 3 and 4 maintain a 100% state of charge.Overall, this controller delivers excellent performance, safety features, and precise charging management. Its ability to support various charge states makes it a reliable option for solar-powered setups.

Like the new display, the options, the addition of Li batteries. Going to replace some earlier versions. Great inexpensive option for battery maintenance and upkeep.
