We replaced many of the older can lights with the slim LED lights and the original holes in the drywall were just a hair larger than the new lights. These goof rings were a great solution to our problem and gave all the lights a uniform look. Easy to install.

Perfect item for help in updated old can lights. If you don't need them great. But if you do... you will want them on hand. 9 out of 9 old cans had the cut outs just a bit too big for the new LED's to cover. Had these as a "just in case" and I am glad I did! Color is not a dead on match to the lights I got, but better than seeing raw sheetrock edges!!! Leftovers can be used as toss rings too!!!

These are perfect to cover the oversized holes cut for the can lights in my basement. I installed Led lights and they weren't big enough to hide the oversized cutouts, these fixed the problem and were so easy to install.

We replaced our old brushed nickel adjustable eyeball lights that had rusted. The cans that are recessed into the ceiling are the exact same size as the 5"-6" flush mount dimmable LED lights that we bought at Lowes. Once installed the edge of the can was visible. I was going to glue these goof rings in place but it's not necessary. I set them on top of the light, pushed the light into place and made sure the ring was even all around. Easy Peasy. In my photo they look off color for the light. I don't know why that is, I tried 3 photos. They are the exact color of the light fixture, so don't let that throw you off. These could not have worked out any better. Look no further, these are what you are looking for.

These are such a great idea. I bought some LED retrofit lights to replace the ancient ones in my 6" can lights. The fixtures' width is just barely wider than the can and the uneven gaps that the old fixtures covered were now visible. These rings were perfect and saved me a bunch of patching, sanding and painting. The one issue I had is the little rubber coated springs on the new fixtures are designed to push against the inside of the can to hold themselves in place barely held the fixtures in tight. (they don't have the thin wire torsion type springs that push against the little tabs in a can) When I added the weight of the rings, which are not heavy at all, the fixtures kept falling out. I fixed the issue by putting a few dabs of adhesive caulk on the rings to hold them to the ceiling and then on the lip of the fixtures to hold them to the ring. So far so good.

It is what it is, a plastic ring that you use when you suck at cutting your pot light holes.Expensive for what you get but it gets the job done
