These seem decent they are a replacement for inside by side whirlpool refrigerator and it does say to run the water thru the filter a few times tm clear it out I ran it several times and the water still seemed cloudy but it eventually resolved. This is the second filter it lasted a few months

Water is clear. Just make sure you run about at least a half gallon through it first to get rid of the odd initial taste.
