I have been looking for something like this for a while to take with me camping. This works perfectly! It is easy to clean and keep the coffee hot for a long time. I am very happy with this purchase.

I just received my Brutek Steel toe 3.0 travel mug. I gave it three stars because I love the look and it seems sturdy and just what I wanted provided it keep it hot for a long as described. I'm not sure if I'm going to like the design of the lid though. When I drink, my nose presses on the screen button that pushes the screen down. I have an average size nose, not a large nose. I wish it was more concave and level with the lid. When pushed all the way down with no coffee grounds it is raised by approximately a half inch above the level of the cover. I will try it out and give my review when I decide if I like it. It's a bummer it couldn't have been designed that way to begin with. The silver mug is the one I'm replacing. As you can see, the push button is much lower than the lid where you sip the coffee. There are still grounds in the silver mug as I just got home with it. I'm still trying to decide if I will return it or give it a try. I'm a little bummed.

I was looking for an insulated French press since my glass one lost too much heat while brewing.I ended up deciding on this BruTrek Steel Toe 3.0 for a number of reasons and I absolutely love it. It feels strong and sturdy, made out of high quality parts, and coffee comes out piping hot. Even if I come back an hour later for a second cup, it's still hot.Mine unfortunately came with a with a minor damaged part due to shipping, but I reached out to BruTech and they immediately took care of me.But highly recommend both for the quality of the product and the care of the company.

I like most things about this mug. Holds a good amount of coffee. Keeps it hot long enough. Drinking directly from the mug, the press sticks out (see picture) and finds your nose. As you get to the bottom of the cup, the more difficult to drink as the press pushes against your nose holding the cup away from your mouth. I put 4 TBSP of coffee grinds. The standard is 2 per 8 ozs of liquid. This cup is 20 oz and could take 5 tbsp for the amount of liquid. The press will not go down all the way since the coffee grinds take up space. the space allowed by the screen on the press does not allow for the proper volume of grinds for the size of cup.

Bought for my BF and made coffee with it today. The seal for the press is quite good and seems like it will last, if you have to pour it out into a cup it works well too. I drink black coffee but he uses cream - we had to figure out how to make adding cream work. He plans to brew in this when he’s traveling and pour into another double walled vessel. It holds heat well, the surface has texture and makes it easy to hold. I think this is a great press and travel cup!

I took this to an overnight excursion to ensure I had a quality cup in the morning. Paired with my Timemore C2 manual grinder, I was feeling pretty good about that. The overall looks and feel over this travel press seems pretty solid. The outer side surface is textured for easy gripping and I had no issues handling the press on a cold humid morning around the campfire. I used a small stainless steel pot to heat my water to a near boil, while I cranked away at grinding my beans for the brew. The entire top of the Cannister unscrews, giving you plenty of room to add your grounds and pour in the hot water. The top is plastic but feels solid like most other insulated mugs. The lid screws back down easily and is secure. It has a pour spot with a flip over and snap down rubber stopper. I had no issues when knocked over.My first attempt, the water didn't get hot enough and I forgot to stir the grounds into the water after filling. My Second attempt, the water was very hot, remembered to stir, and the coffee was still a little weak for my taste. My third time was juuust right! The press rinses out easily and seals well around the lid and around the screen. I had some very fine powder at the bottom of my cup but it had settled there and was of no concern. Also, the insulation on this press is great! I prefer to pour smaller cups, so I'm no having to dump half a cup of cold coffee. I enjoyed a hot cup, each time, on a very cold autumn morning outdoors.
