(4) stands were purchased and they are great quality and heavy enough to keep the 11’ umbrellas in place. I did have two screws added to the base of the umbrella as it’s super windy where I am and I did not want an uplift wind to cause the umbrella to go flying. Products arrived on time and were well packaged. Will purchase again.

Didn’t want a huge base that gets filled with sand or water. Saw these and gave them a shot. They’re heavy, flat, and easy to slide under outdoor furniture or discretely place. We get 30-40mph winds here and neither umbrella has blown over, they’re great.

I bought this umbrella holder to support my new umbrella from CB2. I was really skeptical about buying something here on amazon in this category as I was looking for a quality product. Surprisingly, that is exactly what this umbrella base is! Overall, it looks really sleek and modern. The quality is great. It is a bit heavy but that is what I wanted as I did not want my umbrella tipping over or flying away. This item checked all the boxes I was looking for. I really like the black finish and the fact that it I still is nice for me.

I was concerned that a base of this weight might not be heavy enough to anchor a moderately sized umbrella, but this one is more than sufficient. The only modification I made, based on another reviewer’s suggestion, was to wrap the lower end of the umbrella pole in two places with enough layers of duct tape (any other spacer material would have worked) to keep it snug in the base pipe. This of course required sliding the plastic ring out of the base pipe up the umbrella pole first, then sliding the ring back into the base after putting on the tape. The effect is to keep the umbrella solidly vertical, eliminating an otherwise unavoidable tilt that would shift the center of gravity to one side and thereby promote tipping. With this fix, the umbrella stays put in all the breezes we have thrown at it. I added a coat of black enamel to avoid the risk of rust.This stand is far less obtrusive and more presentable than the huge square water-filled base that I had before and returned, and it does the job equally well. Highly recommended.

I just received my umbrella stand today and had a very positive impression. Very sturdy, and low profile so it can be tucked into the corner without being obtrusive. I am going to order a second one now that I see how nice it was. Installation was super simple. I put it together without tools. I can tell this will last a long time because the parts are so sturdy. Even if it were to break, it seems easily repairable because the parts are so simple and would be no problem to replace. I will never buy another plastic umbrella stand again as my other one shattered after being out in the sun a few years. This metal flat kind is my new go to. I also love how low profile it is. Just a metal plate that you won’t trip on. I’m going to put two in front yard to cover my succulents from rain during winter — then during summer I’ll move one to the back patio and have one in front and one in back for shade. Love it and so glad I got this.

I purchased this patio umbrella stand in order to get a heavy and sleek, modern-looking stand. It is heavy, and quite sleek with just a single black plate mounted close to the ground. However, despite all the packaging, and the box not having visible signs of damage, it came out of the box with one of four plastic legs largely smashed. I have rated this stand 2 out of 5 stars for value for money – it is far from the cheapest option on the market and I expect better than flimsy brittle plastic at this price point (perhaps rubber feet). I have added felt stickers to protect my hardwood deck and will have to upgrade these to rubber feet myself. Otherwise, this is a great, clean, modern patio umbrella stand.
