Wow, it’s a great tool. It works great. Not sure in sand but definitely for hard ground

The set screw are not strong enough to hold the umbrella pole in any significant wind. I drilled a hole all the way through and ran a bolt through pole and the holder. Other than that worked well, liked how deep the holder went into the sand. Heavy duty construction.

This is a great product for your umbrella, Worth the pick, unlike the PVC that won’t screw into hard dirt ground, great stability, easy to use, good size, I’m happy with this buy, may get another one in the summer🙏👍🙌

Bought this to use in the garden to install a decorative weathervane. Was easy to get into the ground and easily supported the weathervane. I'm sure it would work well to support a umbrella stand. I used it in soft earth, not sand, and it went in easily so I'm sure it would work in sand as well.

Here’s a product that’s well thought through, and I love that. How do I know? They made a spot inside the mount to store the handle. It’s a rarity these days when someone takes that extra step to design something well. And the price is great considering.

This is heavy duty, just as described. I used this as an artificial Xmas tree stand and it worked great. I did have to buy 3 longer screws to secure my tree, but my Xmas tree pole was small, so it was an easy fix. Great product!

Used to use a plastic umbrella anchor on our vacations - it was difficult to drive in because the tip had broken after a couple of uses. The Dakepole is heavy duty and made of metal, drove into sand easily and I also used it to hold up a 10 ft. metal pole in my backyard and it did that with no problems also. Was sturdy in both uses.Only concerns that might come up is that it's shown a bit of rust on the areas where the screws go into the pole. Other than that, again very sturdy and easy to put into sand and also remove.

This works exactly as intended and fit my umbrella perfectly with extra room to spare. I plan on using it in my yard so I tested it in soil and it went in easily. I can't say how it would be in sand as I haven't tried that. My umbrella pole is 1.5 inches in diameter and this accommodated it nicely. There's plenty of extra wiggle room if you had a larger pole. I gently pushed the umbrella around a bit just to see if it would hold if there were wind and it seemed sturdy enough. My only complaint is the screws were very tight and took a lot to tighten into place, but I think a lot of that has to do with the paint coating and that will wear with use and should become easier over time. It's probably not a bad thing for them to be snug so they're more supportive when in use. Just be aware at times you might think the screws don't fit the holes and it will break if you keep forcing it, but just keep going and it will be fine. Very happy with this product!
