Works excellent. Not too difficult to install. Programming is a little catchy. I think the quicker you are in the programming process the better success you will have. Took me four times before I got it to work.

I’ve installed remote starter kits in the past and this is by far the easiest one I’ve done. The wiring harnesses and videos make this so easy. The hardest part is programming which the videos make this so much clearer to follow the sequence. It took me about 40 minutes total, mostly because I had to restart the programming steps and I was taking my time with less than optimal working conditions. I would highly recommend this kit!

Finally! Something easy and straight to the point. Bought for a 2018 Ford Escape. Price is above fair for what you’d pay for a professional to do it. I will recommend to have some basic mechanical background. It took me 3x to get the key programming correct, it’s all in the timing. If you do each part, stop and read the directions then the programmer will be out of synch. Practice it and then just do it straight through! Wife is happy and the process to get it start is flawless in my opinion.Don’t be confused by after you have it started remotely. The door are locked so your vehicle will be secure while it cools/warms up. Soon as you get in, the car will shut off when brake is applied. This is where you’ll insert your key, start your vehicle normally and then off you go!Definitely buying for my F150 now!

Installed this product on my girlfriend's 2016 Ford escape. Getting everything undone and the cable harness plugged in was easy. Had some issues with programming but after disconnecting and reconnecting all the connectors and rewatching the YouTube videos linked by the manufacturer in the installation directions, got the remote starter to work. Took me about 2 hours to install, test, and reinstall the steering column shroud. This product, for the price, is the best way to add remote starting capability to an older vehicle.

So excited I got this and it actually works! I have a 2014 ford escape. Upon reading the instructions and watching the video along with the instructions it was a very simple and very easy set up. The video is not specifically for my car however I also looked up a prior video on how to take the dash apart for my specific vehicle which made actual installation a breeze! I will say following the instructions was easier than watching the video for programming. Read the instructions first then try to program the keys. It was a very quick process took probably less than an hour to do. And I am by no means a car mechanic!

To do it yourself... you should be fairly savvy and intuitive.Hardware is easy if you can make sense of what the connections look like on the vehicle and basically where they are at. The end goal is to put this unit in between the connections, integrating it into your ignition system. It's all going to basically be in the column of your vehicle, and up near your key ignition for the (Key chip sensor). The OBD wire set is to allow integration into the vehicles system while still allowing access to the OBD port. The manual has the basic information serving multiple models of each make. There is one video example for the fords that serves all of the models. The video didn't completely apply to my 2017 Escape or 2014 F150.Just make sure for the year of escape you're programming that you have the right color combination showing on the unit when programming the newer models of Escape. I was expecting-like the video showed- to have red, yellow and blue show when programming. It dawned on me that I needed to hold the programming button until only the red and Blue showed, then I would need to release it. Then finish my last connection. (Same with my f150).Escape install time was 45 minutes fumbling slightly. 20 minutes programming it because I wasn't getting that I was using the wrong color combination. After the Escape, my F150 took 10 minutes install and program, 5 minutes getting the the connections. The second install was way easier because I knew what to expect, and the connection locations and connectors are similar. The company would benefit from going into more detail in their install manual for more successes. However, I'm happy with the system. It works well and I get to use factory keys. Now to see how long it lasts!

It is an easy install just take your time and read the instructions fully before starting the installation it will help a lot. It works great and you will need two keys so if you don't have two, get one programed before you install.

This was plug and play. I followed some on-line videos for my 2018 Escape. One guy took way too much plastic off (near bottom of column where airbag sits). I didnt need to do that. Once the column cover came off, I could easily run the cable to the necessary locations. Directions were pretty much useless. It works as described, however, I no longer have an "On/Accessory" option at the ignition switch. I literally turn the key to "On", not "Start" and the engine turns over. In other words, I cant sit in the car and listen to the radio without the engine running. Since this was literally plug and play, there must be an issue with the module or the internal programming since you are not required to do anything beyond programming the key.Not sure if I want that trade-off.

I’m fairly comfortable doing things like this and it ended up taking about 30 minutes to install in my daughter’s 2016 Ford Escape. Very simple to do. Programming with the two keys took me three tries. Each unsuccessful attempt really wasn’t much of a set back. Just have to unplug the unit and perform three steps again. Works as advertised. Recommend.

For my 2011 Ford Escape, Watched the video for instructions on how to. Easy installation of cables once the steering wheel cover is removed. Took me several attempts to program as I was following the video instructions. Because my car is 2011, the programming is slightly different but it clearly indicates how in the instruction manual. Had it for a week now and works great ! Well worth it and hopefully will continue to work for a long time.

Bought one of these for my older 2012 Ford Escape. Kit was complete with all cables /adapters. 100% plug and play. Install was less than 5 minutes. As others have stated it takes longer to take the steering wheel covers off. I also removed the dash panel below the steering wheel. It pulls out from the top as the bottom has hinges, gives you lots of room for connections and installing the cables for the starter. Had to program several times but was able to get it to work. My fault for not thoroughly reading the instructions. Simple to operate and appears to be good quality.
