Fit perfect on 2023 Tacoma w/ push-button start. Unplugging the factory connector from the ECU was the toughest part. Took maybe 20 minutes to install. I just wish opening the door didn't shut it off.

Awesome product! Easy plug and play install. Use the Amazon video for this latest generation of StartX remote start. Ther have obviously been some upgrades as programming is much simpler now. But they left out one VERY important tip. The grey connector that you have to remove has a lock clip on the right side of the connector - depress in on the center of right side of the clip and it will release and pull out easily. Hard to access, you must move some cables out of the way to access the clip.It’s a 30’ install if the harness comes out easy, 2hrs if you fight the connector. This tip should be part of the video to ease the install.All of the panels pop off fairly easily and go back on just as they came off.Looking forward to the next cold morning!

2022 Tacoma TRD off road , When the factory remote start expired (which is a different story) I was'nt goint to pay them a yearly fee to keep it so after doing my research . I went with Start X used before on a f150 for the reliability easy installtion .Just be sure to watch the correct video before you get started .

This was absolutely easy to install, and the box came with everything that you will need to get it done. I simply followed the video and did it exactly as shown. It took me about 20 minutes to install this. Afterward, I tested it out by hitting the lock button on my remote 3x and it fired right up. Hit it 3 more times and it turned off the truck. Great product!

After I purchased the remote starter, I viewed the YouTube video on how to install it. The video was very helpful, however when I removed the airbag panel, because of how tight the wires were placed doing the manufacturing of my truck. The wires to the airbag snapped. Be very careful doing this step. After getting over the frustration and continuing on with the installment. What I found was that the video showed an access to the connector. Which is true if you have hands the size large child. However, after accomplishing that, the remaining assembly was smooth sailing. The connection of the module to the truck just like video showed.

This is a must if Toyota disables your remote start. Once I denied all forms of spying consent through the phone app the remote start stopped working from the Key Fob, I assume a version of spite from Toyota. I found this product and it was perfect!!I wouldn't say that this is a 15 minute job, more like an 45-1 hour going slow in 30 degree weather!The install was straight forward, ripping those panels out for the first time was nerve wrecking, probably why it took me so long, the video that the instructions link to so no cables in front of the connector, but that wasn't the case for me.There were a lot of wires to navigate through but I ended up getting it and it worked first time!

Easy as advertised if you follow the instructions. A little difficult taking the main plug out, since it’s very narrow and too many wires around it but this is Toyota’s company fault, not the item. I highly recommended this item. I did save a lot of money doing the installation myself.

I have one on my 2024 4runner, it works great. Was excited to install this on my Tacoma, but as others have noted there isn't a connection for it as shown in the videos. Mine is an 8/23 production date, advanced technology, off road and LED packages. I imagine there's a cutoff where they changed the harness on the truck which should be something that can be looked up and narrowed down to a certain range of VIN numbers.

Plugged into my 2023 tacoma. Followed instructions, lights on the device flashed appropriately as in the manual and youtube video.Truck will not start remotely, reinstalled multiple times for the same results...Don't waste your time, it's cheap for a reason.

Hardest part of install is removing the first Grey plug from the housing that you have to connect to. It's tight. Gf didn't really have the hand strength to get out even though her hands were smaller. I eventually gave it more force then I was comfortable applying to wires and plastics but it came off with no damage. The wires inside the panel are hard and stiff making them difficult to move around. After about 8 minutes of fidgeting it came loose and the rest of the install was easy. When I programmed it as in the video when it was all plugged in impressed the ignition twice and the lights on the box didn't change at the very end like in the video. But the unit was functioning properly already. Very happy with it. Works as advertised and was half the price without an install. No Brainer. You can do this install if you can plug a cable into hole and hold down a button.
