I bought this for my wife's 2014 Grand Caravan. I watched the video & read the instructions & it was fairly easy to install. I had to do a little more than the video showed to get things out of the way, but I'm mechanically inclined enough it was fairly easy. Took me about 1 hr total. Just take your time, especially with the electrical connections. Works great!

Panels came off pretty easily, and the only tricky thing was reaching up and getting a good grip on the ignition cable to detach (tight space, weird angle). After that everything went smoothly, and the only minor annoyance was figuring out where I wanted to mount the control box so it doesn't rattle around.Note... the baby-sized zip ties aren't all that great.... I had a bag of large ones in the basement, so I just used one of those instead and had no issues.

Installation was easy if you follow the video. Programming went well. I can not attest to the longevity yet but so far is perfect. I will report back if it stops working or if it causes a parasitic draw on the battery (which aftermarket usually do)Edit: still working but when you use it all the lights come on the dash including Tpms

Works as described. For the Caravan- tilt steering wheel up, reach thru the centre over the steel plate, takes an extra elbow and wrist but its not StartX that placed the plug location. Thanks Dodge ! Super easy and straightforward after locating the plug blind . Would buy again. No horn start ! Just lights ( if you have the settings on the dash menu set that way - No horn on Lock). My neighbours love that !

The video for installation and programming was spot on. Very simple and quick to install. I really love being able to keep the original key fob. There are some quirks like if you use remote start but don't actually trun the key and drive the vehicle, the doors will relock automatically. But day to day operation has been great. My wife loves this new feature now that it's getting colder! Worth every penny!

Works great. Is limited to the range of your key fob but still starts the van parked on the street with a clear line of sight. Video tutorial made it a super easy install. Didn’t install as fast as some people claim but I’m not a professional and I got it done in about 1-1/2 hours including testing and tool clean up. No wire splicing required like other brands. Plug n play. I still need to install the safety ground pin under the hood but will wait for warmer weather. Start-X unit is worth every penny and I installed it myself. Is slightly annoying that the horn chirps when you press door lock 3 times to start but supposedly there is a way to turn that Dodge feature off. Otherwise, I must say I highly recommend this product.

Put this into my 10-year-old Town and Country a couple of weeks ago. The install was easy. I watched a you-tube video for my specific application, pulled the plastic cover off under my steering wheel with the provided tool, snapped the module into the wiring harness, and programmed with my key. Total install was about 30 minutes and it only took that long because I was trying to be especially careful with the plastic panel clips.Three presses of my key fob's lock button and the engine starts right up. The engine runs up to 15 minutes and then, if I can't manage to get out there in a timely way, automatically turns off. Unsure why I didn't put one of these on years ago. The cost is low, the install is easy, and the added comfort of waiting inside while the vehicle warms is high. Highly recommend.

Let me tell you how easy this product was to install in my 2018 dodge grand caravan. First of all, I previously called my dealership to inquire about having a remote starter installed in my van and was quoted over $1000.00 to get a new remote starter installed by them. My wife found this product on Amazon accompanied by a 3 minute install video. So she ordered it for me as an early Christmas gift. I received the package yesterday, opened the box, pulled up the video and just followed the video step by step - it’s a 4 step video by the way. I had the unit installed in my van in under 15 minutes! I kid you not. 3 plastic tabs needed to be removed under my steering wheel, one cable disconnected, the new wire harness installed, the cable plugged back in, and the 3 tabs re-installed to put it back together. I couldn’t actually believe how easy it was and I seriously considered just opening my own remote starter installation company because it just doesn’t feel right that these dealerships are literally taking advantage of people so badly. Great product, super fast and easy install, works perfectly! Unit will start and run your vehicle for 15 minutes before auto shut off. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I am already enjoying mine!

This purchase was a godsend! I've been researching remote start kits for my 2012 VW Routan for a few years now. I'm so glad I hadn't purchased the dozens of remote start kits I'd looked at.From Amazon, to eBay, then back to Amazon, all the remote start kits I looked at, mentioned programming, flashing, purchasing additional components to make it work! This made me hesitant.The Start-X remote start kit worked like a charm! The video tutorial couldn't have been more precise. It was on point to the tee!My remote start kit arrived in the evening. It was very cold! But because I was excited to install it, I bundled up, grabbed my phone, cued the video tutorial, and got to work.It took less than 15 minutes to install! Followed the steps in the video tutorial. Popped off the side panel, then the lower panel. The hardest part was removing the existing ignition wiring harness (as mentioned in the video). Worth mentioning, is the VW Routan's ignition plug is actually easier to get to. The plug faces down as opposed to Dodge's and Chrysler's plug which faces towards the engine (harder to get to).Followed the extremely quick programming of the kit, and voila! I couldn't believe how simple and quick the installation was!Kudos to "Blessed 3" for mentioning that this worked on his 2012 VW Routan in his review! This remote car starter was fairly easy to install, one of the plastic clips was harder to get off then the instructions suggested though. Otherwise it ran differently the first time than subsequent attempts. At first when remote car starting was going the car would not start with the key. But since then we can start with both the key and the remote car start.
