Instructions were pretty straight forward. Easy enough install, didn’t take long. Took a few tries to get it to connect but it said if that was the case to just restart the process and after a few tries it worked. Downloading the “software” or whatever it’s called to program it didn’t take as long as I thought and the second I started the programming it took no more than 5 minutes. Went out to plug it in and worked like a charm.

Great product!! Easy to install and very easy to program with computer!!Don’t let the computer programming stop you from buying. The video link was very informative and on point. Took less than 15 minutes to program.The entire install took last than 40 minutes.

This is by far the easiest aftermarket install I have ever put into my 2015 truck to provide a much needed and desired upgrade, especially for hotter and colder months.The Instructions are precise and easy to understand and follow. Entire process took about 50 minutes, and included a computer update. (Not due to starter programming, but because my laptop is old and not on to automatically run updates.) Very happy with purchase and recommend buying if you are considering because you won’t be disappointed.

Very straightforward installation. Reliably starts the car with pressing the lock button three times. Only problem is that the second lock press causes the horn to go off (for a dodge ram which is normal) so every time I starting the morning the horn goes off once which is annoying for people sleeping.

I have been installing remote starters for about 30 years. The Start-X unit is basic, but functions the same as the factory remote starter. This was the easiest install I have ever done. It took me 5 min on a 2013 Ram 1500 to have the wiring harnesses installed. It took far longer to install the flash software and flash the module. The whole project still took less than one hour. It worked the first time. Range is adequate. I am very happy with the remote starter.

Installed on a 2017 Ram 1500 CC with Tip Key. I have never installed a remote start kit.. I know the basics of vehicles, so this wasn’t incredibly hard. If you know the basics, I would save the money and do it yourself. Shoot, even if you don’t, save the money and DIY- it’s not hard at all.1st off, I had to buy a used dell laptop from OfferUp since it’s not supported for Mac laptops, which kind of sucked. However, that was probably way cheaper than getting it professionally installed.2nd, the instructions kind of sucked.. I had to re-read the instructions a few times since they were vague. Once understood, the install was a breeze. I had no hiccups during install. In fact, this is the easiest and smoothest aftermarket install I’ve ever done on any vehicle. Make sure you use internet explorer or else it’ll say it’s not compatible. I’d recommend this product to anybody wanting to do a DIY install. It’ll take a little bit to get used to starting it, but I’m so excited. Being in Arizona, it’ll be nice to have remote start during 115+ summers and below 32 winter mornings. I never had to reach out to customer service or re flash the device. Just make sure you thoroughly follow the directions. My biggest complaint and improvement to the developer would be better instructions and to have an installation video guide to go along with.Update: I have since downgraded to a 1 star. After 3 months, suddenly my ECU did not recognize both of my key fobs. This messed with my computer system and left me stranded several times. Once I removed the product, my truck started working fine. It also caused computer glitches to have my truck driving at 5500 RPM at 45mph. Not sure what was going with this product.
