I bought the existing fob version, it works as far as the original key fob travels. The installation was straight forward with the online instructions. It's 4 plugs, and 1 spliced wire. It took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. The push to start wire is the only one that needs spliced in, but with a razor blade and a solder gun, I made quick work of it. I will update if any problems arise.

Easy to understand instructions. Hardest part was the one wire you have to tap into behind the push-to-start button. I ended up just extending the OEM wire a little bit to make sure there was a good connection with the white/black wire to the remote start unit. Everything else is just popping out an OEM plug, plugging it into the harness, then plugging the harness plug into where the OEM plug was. Programming it is tricky, just take your time. When it says the last step may take up to 3 min for the light to turn solid yellow, mine took over a minute and a half so just be patient. Simple 3x lock on OEM keyfob to remote start, runs for 15 min.

I have to say. Other than the fact that it works well, (I got the version that uses the original Nissan remotes) the installation went very well due to the fantastic step-by-step directions that are easy to understand directions. If you have worked on cars a little, can read directions, and follow step-by-step, installing this product is not too hard at all.

Remote start works great. Press the horn button 3 times and in a few seconds she starts right up. Useful in the morning to either warm or cool the car before leaving for work. Range is limited so much so that I can send the signal to start the car and have already gotten to the car as it’s starting. So it’s not as useful when coming home from work. But I still give it a solid 4 stars just cause I hate getting into a hot car first thing in the morning and with this, I no longer have to!

This entire kit was plug and play besides the 1 wire that you have to tap into on the back side of the push button. Direction has to be downloaded as there is no physical directions included in the kit. The directions also leave a descent bit to be figured out and assumed. My son and I were able to figure it out though and after 2 tries of programming we were able to make it work. Definitely beats buying aftermarket and having an extra remote and paying $375-450. This works perfectly on the factory remote, just click lock 3 times and she starts right up. Took us maybe an hour to install! You can't go wrong with this kit!

I successfully installed this into my car i would say you need to kind of be familiar with working and taking things apart in your car. I had to take the knee guard panel, top of the steering column panel, the shroud that goes around the gauge cluster, and remove the gauge cluster. for the most part its plug and play the only thing you have to splice a wire into is the starter and push-to-start button I recommend you order wire snap connectors just because its such a tight fit and its would be hard to manually cut and twist the wire. Unfortunately I couldn't get the lock and unlock feature to work due to the metal pin would not fit in where it should have gone so I didn't install that feature only the remote start function works. You really have to get up under the steering column in order to get one wire connected and its a pain but just fish it through the front into where the gauge cluster is and it will be a lot easier to connect the wire then just fish it back through when done. The range is awesome!!!!!!

The instructions for this absolute mess of a box are a complete joke. Electrical AND mechanical engineer and mechanic at home in the family and this was a complete joke. Seriously, if you’re up for a good laugh- look at the instructions. I’ve never seen worse! It looks like they were translated from hieroglyphics to Chinese to Elvish then to English. DO NOT BUY.
