Add USB ports, virtually anywhere you go

With its compact and lightweight design, this 4-port USB hub is tailored for mobility. You can easily tuck it into your laptop bag when traveling, which makes it easy to expand your connection options almost anywhere you need to. It's perfect for connecting common USB devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or flash drive, right when you need them.

You can install the versatile USB 3.0 hub virtually anywhere, because it takes up minimal space on a desk, and fits perfectly in hot-desk or BYOD environments.

Provide more power when needed

This self-powered USB hub comes with an external power adapter to support power-hungry USB devices, such as larger external drives and enclosures, which require more power than USB power can provide on its own.

With the power adapter, you can also charge your smartphone on one of the available ports. Each USB-A port supports USB Battery Charging Specification 1.2. It's recommended to only charge one device at a time.

Universally supported, for easy installation

This USB 3.0 hub will work with a wide range of computers because it requires no additional software or drivers. It installs automatically when you connect it to your laptop or desktop, so you can be up and running quickly. It also works with a range of operating systems such as Windows®, macOS, Linux® and Chrome OS™, so it's multi-platform compatible.

The ST4300MINI is backed by a StarTech.

I have had lots of problems with this unit causing interference with my wifi and bluetooth devices. Because the usb cord is so short I can't move it farther away from my laptop. I’m not sure if a better shielded usb extension cord would help. My return on this has lapsed because it took me this long to figure out that the Startech hub was causing the issue. :-(

Solid piece of kit. Works out of the box.

The device has a really solid feel to it. It charges nicely and transfers files well. The USB cable to plug it into the computer is way too short. And for a device whose purpose is to plug into the computer AND be accessible to plug in other devices, this is a big oversight.

Very nice powered USB hub. Note that the power supply became noisy (whirring, buzzing sound) after 9 months use for a previously purchased unit. Startech quickly replaced everything under warranty. So 4 Stars for performance while it lasted followed by excellent warranty replacement service.

Cord is a little too short to be able to put the unit at a comfortable distance

Works great!! Allows more than 1 device to function as if adding more USB ports to your computer. I was hoping I could set up dual headsets on Windows 10, so both could hear and use the microphone at the same time, but it treats the devices as totally separate... which is what it was supposed to do, but I was hoping I could anyway. Had to try!

As others have said, this powered version of Startech's USB hub is great for external USB drives. I use this to power up the external drive for my kids Xbox and we've never had a glitch. Before using this, the hard drive acted a little flaky at times...now I think it was a power issue given all else was the same. For the size, it seems a bit pricey, but if it addresses your needs then maybe its a justified price point for happiness or satisfaction. Cheers! RC

I use this as my portable USB 3 hub. Small enough to toss in a computer bag and I don't need the power adapter for most items I plug into it. But it's nice to have the external power adapter in case you need it. As with all Startech products I own, it lives up to it's specs for speed, and seems to be well made and reliable.

Alimentation 5v 3A fourni. Je l'utilise pour brancher des interfaces sans fil (antennes) sur un Raspberry Pi pour des applications domotiques, le RPi n'étant pas capable de fournir une alimentation suffisante via ses ports USB.
