a very nice cooker with various options. unfortunately, selection button is not sensitive which makes it hard to get to the desired option. not sure if i just happened to get a lemon. although quite easy to cleanup, it would be nicer if the inner part can be removable.

Ok, I have to tell you I was immensely skeptical about this rice cooker. Nobody sent it to me free for a review, and I am a real customer not a Vine reviewer.Note that different types of rice will need slightly different amounts of water. I cooked Basmati rice. I'll try Japanese short grain rice next. Then I'll try brown rice. I think brown rice is trickier to cook.I cooked ONE cup of Basmati rice (which is a lot of rice as a side dish for two people), and here is how I made it perfect.USE THE CUP THAT COMES WITH THE RICE COOKER. Granted, it's not a full imperial cup, but it is the right size cup for a rice cooker. Fill the cup to the very top with rice.Pour the rice into a mesh strainer to RINSE IT. If you don't rinse your rice well, it will be sticky. Rinse it for a couple of minutes until the water runs clear and all the starch has been washed off the rice. Drain the rice well to shake off excess water.Put the rice in the cooker. I did not add salt, but I may try that next time. Asian cooks do not typically add salt before cooking. Do not add butter or any oil before cooking.The rice will be pretty wet, so you won't need to add as much water as the instructions say. Using the rice cooker cup, add one and 1/4 cups of water. NOTE: THE WATER WILL NOT QUITE REACH THE "MINIMUM" LINE IN THE RICE COOKER FOR THIS RECIPE.Plug the cooker in and touch the "function" button. The cooker will already be set to the "rice" setting.DO NOT OPEN THE COOKER until you hear three beeps, which will happen in about 20 minutes for this recipe. The cooker will enter "keep warm" mode. Unplug the cooker, open the top, and do not disturb the rice for a minute or two to let the steam evaporate. Use the plastic paddle/spoon to GENTLY fluff the rice.The cooker did not leak or spit water out of the steam vent with the amount of rice I cooked. My thought is that if you were to try to cook two full cups of rice, the cooker would spit water and starch out of the vents at the top and make a mess. Personally I would not try to put more than one and a half cups of rice in this cooker, and I would never fill it to the "maximum" mark in the pot.Some people have complained about the cooker's "function" and "cancel +-" buttons. The instructions are not as clear as they should be, but here's the gist:FUNCTIONALITY: The only thing you need to touch on the cooker are the "function" and "cancel +-" buttons. You don't have to press them; just touch them. The round thing between the two buttons is just a simple digital display. Turn the cooker on using the "function" button. If you want to cook something besides rice, quickly touch the function button again and the digital display will cycle through the rice, soup, noodles, hotpot, congee, and keep warm modes. After you have chosen the type of food you want to cook, the "cancel +-" button will act like a "+-" and will cycle through the settings for those foods. Basically, using these modes allow you control the time and temperature on the cooker. Remember, this contraption is a simple bowl that heats up at different temperatures for different foods and cooks them for different amounts of time. Now go read the instructions and see if they make more sense.The cooker comes with a 90 day warranty, which isn't much, but the price is so low that it's worth a shot. If it stops working, I'll be right back on here letting you know about it because I have reputation to protect on Amazon! 😊

Its a nice cooker... Its very portable and handy to have but there are a lot of things that I personally don't like about it and i think is a ⚠️ hazard thats why I am returning the item1. I don't like that you cannot take the pot out to wash. It gets me antsy washing the whole thing with the mechanism2. Water seeps inside the unit from the bottom slats where the fan is. So when you think its dry and you turn it over all that water that seeps in comes out of the fan slats.3. I don't think it will last long saying what i said above so durability wise its not gonna be it.4. It was sooo hard to turn off... it says press the button for 2 seconds since you cant feel a button you have to keep pressing around... 😅What i love about it:1. Its compact that you can travel with it.2. I love the ceramic pot... thats really nice... super lovely to cook rice in too.3. doesn't stink like other cookers when you first open it4. Simple design and functions5. its super easy to operate.

Professionally designed, manufactured and delivered. Built for ease of use, styled to be kept countertop and be noticed for its quality style. Then using it the first time just fun as heck. I love good rice.For fun rice making and warming or cooking any thing else you desire .. as any cook knows it's a simple heat source and the rest is up to you. I love this little rice cooker. It cooks 1-2 cups of rice which is perfect for us. This is my 6th rice cooker and I wanted something small for a change. Its very light and easy to clean. The ceramic pot does not come out but its very easy to clean and you dont have to worry about chemicals in your food. I do find I add 1/4 to 1/3c more water than the instructions call for. It takes about 30 min to cook. I have cooked med grain white, short grain white and brown rice. after you plug the cooker in just press the function button and the rice will start cooking. The instructions are confusing and I have not tried to figure them out. There is a cover over the part where the plug goes into the pot so when your cleaning it the water wont go in. I have not found that it makes a puddle on the counter like some reviews. This is my favorite cooker so far.
