these baskets are very well made and get plenty of air to ensure a full burn of your fuel... but, they're a bit too tall... they don't fit under the grate on my Performer grill in the stock location. the grill rack doesn't fit on the stock tabs, and it makes a difference if you're using wing racks, or other accessories on your cooking grate. absolutely great construction, and I expect these to outlive my smaller Weber brand baskets, but the height can be an issue...

We use our Weber to cook turkeys and whole chickens. These require several hours of cook time. I like these baskets because they are deeper than most others. This reduces how often I have to add more charcoal, and keeps the grill at a constant temperature for longer periods of time.For my Weber, these baskets come right up to the bottom of the grate. Be sure to measure yours first. Some kettles are shallower than others and these may be too tall.

The cutouts in the baskets provide increased air flow for a hotter burn. Which helps to adding to shorter cooking time. Would recommend this product.

Fits my Weber Kettle perfectly. Baskets are quite high and reach the bottom of the grill, so I use a little less charcoal to leave some space between the coals and meats on the grill. This is not a problem, just something to experiment with.

This product is game changer for charcoal grilling. Reverse searing steaks, smoking chicken, cooking on cast iron, etc. I hardly used my grill until I got these. Now I cook on it atleast 3-4 times a week. I leave these outside and have for the past few months. They have sat through cold, hot, rainy, and windy weather. I set one down on my ledge and forgot about it. It blew off, sat down on the ground for a week in the rain, I rinsed it off and set it back on the balcony and no rust. That happened a few months ago and still no rust and has been outside the entire time.

I am using these in a kamado style grill to hold the charcoal up closer to the grate, and to allow more airflow to the charcoal in order to get hotter temperatures quickly. I chose these baskets specifically because they have openings on all sides, allowing air to surround the charcoal completely. They hold the perfect amount of charcoal for the style of cooking I usually perform, two thicker steaks (or equivalent) and veggies, hot and fast. This allows me to then cut off the oxygen supply to the fire when they are finished, and save some charcoal for reuse later. The baskets allow me to easily remove the leftover charcoal and use them the next time I fire up the grill, using a chimney starter for maximum convenience.
