Perfect for what I need it for. I am not a professional musician so I don't know if it is professional grade or not. But it sounds Great and fits perfectly in my hand. The price was great and the delivery was fast.

The bar is well finished on the string side and seems indestructible. But, the side you hold in your hand has a very pronounced edge to it that's uncomfortable to hold for any length of time. So plan on taking a file and some sandpaper to it to round the edge over a bit. Thus the one start deduction.

Great slide for medium size hands, nice and heavy and smooth for sliding over the strings and nice and affordable

This gives me great control. It is on the small side and may not work for really big man hands.

Years ago (MANY years ago!) I began learning to play the lap steel guitar with a round style steel slide. An injury to my right hand put my progress on hold and I never went back. Recently I returned to the steel guitar and chose this style slide. It seems to have better control, and the more I use it the more comfortable it becomes. It may not be suited to everyone but you don't have so spend a fortune to find out.

The description of this slide as “machined stainless steel” is a bold-faced lie. From my inspection, it appears to be chrome-plated cast brass. It also has sharp edges and lots of surface scratches and scuffs.
