Better than most bread slicers, since it's a bit sturdier due to the metal construction. Additionally, unlike other bread slicers, chopping bread on it won't result in chunks of plastic getting pushed into your bread.But this product is still not perfect. Since it doesn't have grooves for the blade to sink into, every time you cut bread on this you'll be dulling your blade.

This bread slicer is definitely heavy duty. It is also heavy as an object. I like how this slicer folds down for storage and it is quite compact. Assembly is very easy to fold it back up to it's slicing position. I like that I no longer need to worry about slicing plastic or slivers of wood off into my bread with my old slicer. This is very easy to use and very easy to clean. This is a very high quality bread slicer that everyone should have.

I bake a lot of sourdough bread, and one of the more difficult parts is being able to slice the loaves uniformly. This guide is exactly what I needed. It is sizeable/adjustable for just about any size loaf, and the stainless steel construction is easy to clean.It is very much like a miter box, but for bread. I really look forward to using this exclusively in the future, so as not to have to guesstimate the size of the slices. I could have also opted for half the size as the one in the picture, but this cinnamon loaf needed to be sliced a bit thicker than normal.
