Good quality pad. I have used it on several vehicles and boats and RVs seems to last a good bit and does not burn out too much. Has good durability and polishing ability.

1.) Hole depth Pad to Pad = .629" (5/8”) or (15.98mm)2.) Metal part of threads only depth .394" (3/8”) or (10mm)3.) Pad thickness lying flat 3" or (76.2mm)4.) The pad width 9.5" inches to fiber edge to fiber edge, 8.5" not considering the fibers.5.) The length of the strands of wool = 1.436" (1- 7/16”) or (36.49mm). (Seems a little too long) The wool threads are looped to a thin padding which is on and around the disk which has the threaded attachment hole. Measuring from top to bottom of that thin padding gave me a depth measurement of #1 seen above. Not counting the thin padding mentioned in the paragraph () above, the depth of the metal threaded part only measures as shown in #2 above. Laying the "new" pad flat on a table, the thickness of the pad measures 3" in height The width of the whole buffer pad new, is 9.5" inches to fiber to fiber. Feeling inside until I feel the disk which the fivers are attached, the width is 8.5" inches. Noted in #4 above.I have not used this pad yet as I need to get an extension for it. However, the quality seems pretty good. The "strands per inch" or "threads per inch" is pretty tight making it seem pretty dense. I think it will last a long time for me using many different materials on it. I will be using a flat-head screwdriver on the pad while it's spinning to clean it. This type of cleaning (when dry) works great as I used to do this professionally. My Buffer's Arbor length = .79" (13/16”) or (20mm) - I will need to get an extension for my arbor to push the pad away from the buffer housing and to shorten the threaded end of the arbor to 10-15MM in length so it doesn't stick out the other side of the pad and cut through the paint. Photos show my arbor screwing too deep through the pad that is why I need an extension. Also, the pad is against my buffer housing and must be pushed back some.If my opinion changes from the above, I will come back and adjust this review. This initial review was left 12/28/2024.

Lots of lint developed when new, subsided after a few hours of use. Durable pad, minimal sling, good pad for the money.
