[March 2025 - My unbiased review of OAKRED's "Sprinkler Timer,3.5 Outlets Programmable Water Timer with Brass Inlet for Garden Hose,Outdoor Hose Timer with Rain Delay/Manual/Automatic Watering System,Digital Irrigation Timer for Yard,Lawn"]We needed a reliable way to automate watering in some parts of our yard because our house is on a limestone shelf so the soil is very thin, too thin to bury and install a standard irrigation system without using dynamite! This sprinkler timer looked like it might be a good solution, so I ordered it to try out.First things first, you will need two AA batteries. The instructions are complicated. However, if you take your time the setup is reasonably straightforward, and the digital display makes it easy to program different schedules. With three fully programmable outlets plus a manual override, it offers plenty of flexibility for different zones. The rain delay function is a nice touch, helping to conserve water when Mother Nature steps in.The whole unit is heavy duty and seems well built. The main brass inlet feels sturdy but I wonder about how long the three plastic outlet connectors will last... Time will tell.Make sure all four of the connectors are snugged up tight to prevent any leaks, (but don't tighten the plastic ones too much...) Using the plumber's tape they supplied in the box should help avoid leaks, though I'm used to white teflon tape so I'm interested to see if the clear plastic version works as well.

Restricts water flow therefore it doesn't pump the water to the sprinkler that the correct PSI other than that it works

My favorite feature on this timer is the 15-day watering interval. Any other timer I've used only goes to seven days, which is too often during the winter months, so I end up watering for five minutes at the most. Now I can give the plants a decent soak every two weeks without waterlogging them. It also lets you water for a crazy 360 minutes max, which is overkill. I found that this unit does seem to have more of a power draw on batteries. Other units lasted a whole summer on one pair of AAs, but this one only lasted about 5 weeks. I does have a battery indicator though, so there shouldn't be any surprises. I really like the simplicity of programming this, but I would have preferred a bit more haptic feedback to confirm when the knob has changed settings. It's very smooth - I find it too smooth - when turning from one setting to another. But I think for the price, it's a great value and it works very well.

Automated watering made easy! We have a couple of trees that need to be watered on a drip for long periods of time overnite. This sprinkler timer was a breeze to install and super easy to program. We had one before with only one outlet. This one, with 3 outlets makes life a whole lot easier. Highly recommended!
