I have been painting for some time and have worked with various types of watercolor paper. Even the inexpensive stuff I can make work by stretching. I am not sure if I received the wrong paper by mistake but this is not cold pressed watercolor paper. This is very smooth. I have never worked with hot pressed paper so I cannot say if that is what this is but based on videos that I have watched, that might be what this is and is mislabeled on here. After some research, I went ahead and approached this paper as if it were hot pressed and it was very challenging to paint on. I will say it is thick- like card stock. I was able to wet both sides to stretch prior to painting and it did not buckle. Here is a painting of a beetle I did on it. Be warned- this is not cold pressed paper.

Great quality paper, thick and durable- holds the water, doesn’t get “over-worked” or fall apart, would definitely buy again! Perfect size!

This is not watercolor paper. There is no tooth. It is as smooth as a sheet of posterboard. I would call this 8x10 cardstock. Very disappointing.

I love this watercolor paper, it blends well and holds up nicely to a lot of water. I've come back and bought it multiple times!

I have begun watercolor painting about a year ago. I was coached early on to purchase,”good,” paper. I tried several store brands and was disappointed with the paper. I found this paper and began to see drastic improvement with my painting skill. I believe that my mentors were right. This paper is packaged in a nice box to protect the paper. It holds water well and paint floats and moves wonderfully. I believe this is an excellent product with quality made paper. Amazing how paper can improve your painting. Who knew?

These are pretty much cardstock, but the price was good and it was convenient to have them cut envelope size.
