I have had this indicator tip in my card for almost a year and a half now I finally got the people at my job to look at it and review it and they believed it would work too much red tape and so I installed it on the indicator set everything up in the people that use it love the thing before we had a indicator that was either too sharp or too hard And it was actually putting little holes in the granite surface plate we had on, not sure how it was able to do that but over Thalles and thousands of measurements I guess that little bit of the ball dropping off the edge of the piece of material would let it dent into the granite table, but the sphere is a bigger Contact so it shouldn’t damage anything and also the edge of this will work like a ramp I found this it works.

My coworkers and I have been buying travel indicator points and most are so grossly undersize that the threads won’t even hold the point in the indicators. Maybe I got lucky or maybe this manufacturer knows how to machine a thread, either way I am happy with my purchase of these spherical points.
