Does the job but kind of cheap quality

She’s a great idea and a good kit, but it simply isn’t worth it.It comes with a digital protractor, a digital depth gauge, and a digital level with lasers out both sidesIt’s a great idea. These are some good woodworking tools useful for a number of things, but they missed badly. The digital death gauge once zeroed is accurate to the millimeter scale at zero, but the zero for the inch scale starts at a different position and you can’t actually zero and have it match the measurements on the analog ruler. That made the test pretty difficult. The base is lightweight plastic with a couple of small magnets on the bottom, but it isn’t very flat and has difficulty standing on its own so you have to hold it with one hand while you try and measure with the other. The digital protractor measures angles from an origin that I can’t actually determine, at 65°. I have to move it to the edge of the center pivot at a lower angle like 30 or 45. I have to move it even further from the center pivot to get it to match up and measure correctly. It also has to be zeroed every time you take a measurement and return it back to the origin. The digital level isn’t quite level, I’ve seen in the picture with the bubble level and it too has difficulty reproducing a measurement twice in the same spot. It does work both upside down and right side up, but it will not measure on its back. Just leaving an error message. The laser lines are reasonably bright and appear straight and even with the device itself, but that is difficult to measure without other measuring devices. All in all they need to go back to the drawing board and make these things just a little more accurate so that you can actually reproduce the measurements.

We use this set all the time now. The angle finder has helped keep me sane since I have always figured angles using math (yes kids, you DO use math after high school). I double checked the accuracy of this instrument using math and I double checked my math using this tool. So far it's matched every time. The leveler is nice and keeps things plumb/level instead of having to pull out another tool. I have a micrometer so we don't use the depth finder for small things, but it has worked to figure out rough sawn lumber widths.

This is actually a very nice kit for a hobbyist, with that said I'm not sure it would hold up well to daily Use in a production environment but then again you're not paying a professional price for it either. The angle finder works well, I zeroed it and checked it and it's more than accurate enough.I think the most useful tool for me is the inclinometer, If it had Bluetooth connectivity it would be awesome. It has Magnets on all sides which makes it very useful in fact I used it to level the motorhome.I just stuck it to the frame and used the remote on the jacks to level the motorhome, now I can get it perfectly level every time LOLThe depth gage does what it's supposed to do, But it's not my favorite tool in the kit as it's made from plastic so I'm not sure how well it's going to hold up. But like I said this is a obviously a hobbyist grade kit so if you're a professional woodworker Then this isn't for you but if you're a hobbyist like I am then it's a treat Because I wouldn't use it enough to justify Buying a professional grade tool that's going to spend most of its life sitting on a shelfIt has a very nice fitted case and overall I'm very happy with it.

This feels like a nice set just from the presentation alone - it comes in a cute little metal briefcase, with the tools encased in foam cutouts. The cube is a magnetic level with lasers for added guidance, these things are so useful for leveling - I use it all the time right now as I am putting down pavers. The digital angle finder helps you not only measure but also recreate precise angles, which is very helpful for woodworking. I wish I had had this when I built my previous project (a patio couch with a slightly reclined back), but it will certainly come in handy for the patio table I am about to start on.The depth gauge also comes in handy for the pavers as I use it to ensure the depth of excavation is enough and how much basing sand to put in.Great set of measuring tools, highly recommend!

I was most looking for an angle gauge because my calipers can function as a depth gauge. After zeroing the arms together they measured 45.00°, 90.00°, 180.00°, 270.00° and 360.00° (i.e. 0.00°) accurately. The gauge has one arm on top of the others. The arms are thin but still you'll need to consider if that slight height different will matter for your task's needs are. I did rotate the arms a full 360° more than a dozen times, including some rapid arm motion back and forth to see if it would miscount or accumulate an offset error but it performed perfectly.Although calipers can measure depths of holes, they are not so good for measuring depth of a depression and so the broad spread of the two legs could be quite helpful. I was disappointed that the unlike the angle gauge, the legs and the probe of the depth meter are made of plastic and so I imaging could wear/distort in time if used around rough surfaces. All in all though, as good set of tools that comes in a handy protective case.
