I bought this for rapidly creating shallow pockets on my CNC. It works great, creating sharp, clean sidewalls and bottoms that only require a bit of sanding. Great bit for the price.

This bit SHREDS! Wow am I impressed with how fast this thing flies through material. Used it only for one project so far, so we will see if it stays sharp. Lots of dust by nature of being a downcut. Get the broom ready.

A really good bit. Very sharp. I have cut to prove it. Have used a lot for retaining grooves and the bit is still very sharp.

Cuts super smooth, no burning on the sides of the cut (but occasionally at the bottom of the cut if I let the router sit for a second). This is my second SpeTools spiral cutter, although I primarily use Whiteside bits otherwise. Using on a Triton TRA001 on speeds 3 or 4.

Very nice heavy sharp bit. Excellent for grooving as it gives a clean cut on the edge of the groove. I now have both an upcut and a downcut version and they are my "go-to" bits for grooving, rebating and edging.
