I have a small business silkscreening tote bags etc. I usually use Speedball Fabric Ink; but thought this might be better for my tea towels. I had a difficult time doing a run of prints with this ink. It bled through the towels onto my platen, and bled out the edges of my designs. It is a much different consistency than the fabric ink and I found it hard to work with. I did also try mixing it with the fabric ink, as this was quite a bit of money for me to spend on ink. I was still not satisfied with how this printed. Perhaps it is better on a carousel or silkscreening machine. It is unused in my studio as I have switched back to the regular fabric ink - I get more consistent results using it over this flex ink.

As a starter in screen printing I feel like speedball is ok at best. I find that it drys out reallllyyy fast on the screens. I have moved over to using green galaxy water based ink. It’s definitely ok to use for an every once and awhile project

I love this ink. Once you get used to working with it, it’s truly an amazing product.

I print as a hobby for fun by cutting out the design on my vinyl cutter, then using a screen to apply the ink like traditional screen print. I've used other Speedball products in the past for screen printing at home. I make most things just one-off and love the water-based inks for their ease of cleanup. This ink was no different from that perspective. I got white ink so it could be practical and also be used as an undercoat if needed. The white worked pretty well but I put it on a red shirt so there's still a good amount of red showing through. I think ideally I would flash it dry and put down a second coat but I'm not running a printing operation here, so I don't have those tools. In general it works well, but it needs two coats on dark surfaces.

I do use Speedball quite frequently, however it's the first time using the Flex. It does have good coverage and spreads well, but dries almost instantly on the screen after the first pass. It's good for doing one garment, but if you want to produce multiple pieces, you will have to wash your screen constantly. Keep in mind that this brand is hobby grade and works as intended.

but you have to work fast because the cure time is very short. Also, it’s much more opaque than the regular ink. But the finish on it is exactly what I wanted

Paint thick and difficult to work with. Lids and seals were not intact so 1 jar was dried up already and this is not a oaint you can add water to
