I'm gonna be honest, I haven't really used this on any socks. What I HAVE used it for is on other random items that I wanted to have a non-slip bottom. One item I used this on is a multi-section plastic tray that I have in my bathroom to keep everything more neat and organized. I used to have to use double sided tape to keep the tray from sliding around when I didn't want it to, but I no longer have that issue since I applied a layer of this anti-slip grip stuff on all of the tray's bottom edges.I didn't find application of this product to be particularly difficult. While this stuff doesn't dry instantly, it doesn't take a super long time to dry either.I feel like this is a very versatile and useful product to have around and I would recommend it.

I used this product in the repair of a favorite pair of suede moccasin slippers. I replaced the thin, failing sole with a new layer of thick suede leather, and I used this product to add non-slip texture to the bottom. The actual product in the tube is good, and seems to be performing well. Things that could be improved - better instructions. What instructions are included are very tiny and very brief, on the edge of the box. Some mention of how to clean the product would be helpful - is it water soluble while wet? Alcohol? Acetate? The stencil is a nice idea, but there's no good way to clean it after the first use, so it's essentially a one-time-use item, even though there are two tubes of product, and two nozzle tips and two tiny spatulas. I guess you could cut the stencil apart before using, and use each section once. A few of the patterns on the stencil are easier to use than others.A decent product, but a few improvements would make it more user-friendly.

Ok so I thought this would be easy DIY for satin gloves that my daughter is using for a dance - don’t want her hand sliding when doing floor work…but this stuff is not a great solution. It’s hard to use, sticky, does not dry fast…and if you don’t even it out with the spatula, it dries thick so the pattern isn’t very transparent or nice looking…looks kinda like hot glue on the material. I shoulda just used hot glue.

The website they offer for instructions didn't have this product. I made a mess of things. One tube broke open and the glue spilled everywhere. If you can get it to work the glue does the job but overall, I'm disappointed that I have to use trial and error and the tube broke open.

It must be ok for some things, but I tried applying it to slippers I crochetted and the template is really hard to keep in place. The result I got definitely doesn't look as good as the photos in the ad... lol I also wish it came with better instructions on how to clean the inside of the nozzle after use.

Initial Thoughts: Very interesting substance with nice consistencyThe Good:1. It will give a grippy texture to things2. I thought it very cool that the package even includes a stencil and little spreader piece! The Bad:1. The stencil would not lay completely flat even after taping to sock surface thus the design came out very far from perfect2. No directions save for a few lines on the packaging itself3. Need a magnifying glass to read the directions on the packaging!4. No directions as to how to remove this substance if spilled where unwanted5. No directions to use cardboard or something in between layers if adding to socks - this WILL run thru one layerThe Very Ugly:I did not realize that not only do you have to poke the tube open but you ALSO have to poke a hole into the nozzle you put onto the open tube. I could not get the stuff to come out so squeezed a little harder and this made the bottom of the tube unroll and start to leak. The Excellent: Will work for pretty much any item you want to add grippiness to!Overall Thoughts/Summary:Its a really good concept but needs better/clearer directions. If including stencils, it would be better to have separate smaller ones that will not get all bent up and not work well. Would be much nicer if the nozzles did not need to have hole poked into them. I mean even superglue comes with an open nozzle so this was kinda weird.Overall, I probably would not purchase again as you can get similar results more easily from a name brand flexible fabric or vinyl glue.

I love the DIY aspect of this product and all the different applications possible. This glue is an anti-slip product with it's application for creating your own anti slip booties or socks. There is a stencil that is included in the box, but it is folded in two, and so I had to place it under my cutting mat so that it would flatten.I did not like the white spatula that was provided in the box as it was very small and didn't have a flat edge, so I used a palette knife. I did try using the spatula out of the box, but found it difficult to see the glue as I was spreading it through the stencil. After spreading the glue, I left it to dry and it was dry to the touch in about 20 minutes. If using the included stencil, the application of the glue is going to be the thickness of the stencil.I took one star away for the spatula and the bent stencil, but the substance itself works as described and delivered. I can provide a 4-star review. To be a 5-star review, I would request a better, flat edge spatula or palette knife, and an unfolded stencil that doesn't come bent out of the box.

I really like the variety of stencils that this sock stop comes with! I found the sock stop to be a good thickness, not too thick, not too thin, and it spread easily without running. It remained flexible once dried, and the socks I applied it to have a definite nonslip feel to them when walking on my vinyl kitchen floor. I've not washed the socks I applied it to yet, so I don't know how it'll hold up to washing, but it should last quite a while. Here's two tips: Tape a piece of plastic over the parts of the stencil you don't want to use. That way, you'll be able to keep all the sock stop on just the pattern you want to use.Pull your sock over a piece of cardboard cut a bit larger than the sock to hold the sock fabric taut while applying the sock stop. By doing this, you'll find it not only easier to apply, you'll get better adhesion as the sock stop will "sink" into the sock fabric better.
