We have many different craft projects at any given time at our house. My wife uses a brayer in a few different applications. I chose this set to have more than one brayer on hand. Speedball is a trusted name in screenprinting and art supplies. We've used these brayers in gel printing, block carving and find them to be great quality, easy to wash and use. I highly recommend this set for use with ink and paint.

Perfect for printmaking. These brayers are good quality and do a great job laying down an even coat of ink. The rollers do not detach (if you want that, Speedball has you covered as well), but they're not too hard to clean. Really great product from an awesome art supply company. Zero complaints.

This brayer is easy to use for ink or paint projects. Having several in one package means you can color a variety of items in different colors without having to wash off and clean one brayer every time you switch colors.

I only recently started working with carving my own stamps with my elementary aged daughter and we needed something a little nicer than the no-name brayers we'd gotten with our starter kit. These fit the bill perfectly. They're nice and soft and spread the ink so well. I also love them for spreading acrylic inks on canvas for mixed media artwork. The multipack is nice for that so I can have some to keep in good shape for printmaking and others to use and abuse with various types of paint. They're super well made and ultra comfortable to use. I'm absolutely thrilled with them.

If you're a printmaker, then having 6 brayers makes sense, so you can dedicate one to each color of paint, for instance. For my purposes, I only need one and a backup, so this is an abundance of brayers. I use these to help smoothly adhere watercolor paper to cradled wood panels, as a way to mount finished watercolor paintings for display, after varnishing and finishing the painting in a way that makes it waterproof. The brayers help ensure good adherence and remove any air bubbles.

Speedball is the standard for a reason. These are nice and sturdy, with a comfortable handle. They roll smoothly and have smooth, uniform surfaces, without any warping. I use this type of brayer with vinyl - it serves several purposes. First, if your vinyl has bubbles or is lifting off of the backing in areas due to being wound too tight, this is great for smoothing it out. It's wide enough to do get a nice section smoothed out. Second, you can smooth down your vinyl, HTV, or paper onto the cutting mat for your electronic cutter. Third, you can use this to help smooth out your vinyl after applying it. Sometimes, using a standard burnishing or scraping tool to smooth out your material can result in damage or scratches if you're not careful. This is a great tool to help you to get out the air bubbles and apply pressure to assist in adherence. It's also great if you need to smooth down glued objects - using a scraper just isn't practical if the paper is damp from absorbing the moisture from the glue. The steel frame and strong handle make this much more durable than some of the other options with plastic parts. The handle is comfortable in your hand, so it's easier to apply more pressure. Buying this six-pack instead of buying these individually will save you about 10%, based on the current prices on Amazon, so it's a good value if you need to have multiples on hand.

My oldest daughter recently learned how to carve a rubber stamp plate and then do stamping in art class, and has become utterly obsessed with it. She asked if we could get supplies at home so she can make some stamps at home, and I am a sucker, so I of course, said yes :-)I took art/graphic design all throughout my high school days, and carving rubber stamps was always fun. I figured what the heck. I jumped on vine to check for supplies and found these. I figured they weren't the same as when I was a kid, but they look identical! They are well made and super durable brayers! They work great for stamp/ink printing and will help you achieve a good impression on every print. We obviously don't need 6 at home, so we are keeping 2 and donating the rest to the school to put in the art room. You won't be disappointed with these Speedball brayers!
