The title should read 99.5. I guess I should’ve read the full description before I bought. It’s for later 99 models. I returned it with no issues.

Reasonably well made, and bolted right in. Only complaint is that the hole in the stainless tube for the filter minder is marginally too big. I had to improvise a seal to make the grommet and minder fit tightly and seal properly.

Not a complete kit and has cheap clamps that will break... and 2 of them did and I was being gentle with it after reading the other reviews! The only reason why I give it 2 stars is that I like the filter and the ease of the filter mount. Other than that you can go to your local parts store to buy the pieces to make a better quality intake for less than the big name brands.

It works good, sounds good and looks cool but the only issue i have with it is the housing the filters on doesnt really sit nicely on the bottom half of the airbox, i had to modify some mounts to keep it together as one piece

Do not buy for 7.3 diesel!! After just 3 months the filter is completely caving into itself, definitely depriving the motor of air.

I ordered this product using my year, make and model that's stored in my Amazon garage to ensure that the part would fit and function on my truck. After attempting to install the new part using the instructions provided it became clear that it wasn't the right part for my truck. It interfered with intercooler supply lines which cant be moved. To make matters worse the return window was only 30 days from date of purchase. A important fact that was not conveyed when I purchased the part along with several others to be part of a truck upgrade project that took more than a month to complete. Now I'm stuck with an cold air intake that I can't use or return and I'm out the almost $200 that I spent to purchase a part that according to Amazon would fit my vehicle. The low rating is strictly due to the fact that it's not the right part for my truck after Amazon confirmed it was, and I'm not able to return it for the correct one. Unless Amazon decides to remedy this I may not order any additional auto parts from them. The clear reason for that is because I have to rely on their confirmation of the part being the correct one when I'm shopping using their garage of my vehicles to shop by.Amazon the ball is in your court to see if customer service is something you actually implement or NOT.

Great product was easy to install, fit just right my 2000 F250 Super Duty Power Stroke Diesel. Has isolation box and intake tube that closest priced K&N did not seam to have. Was priced much more reasonable than any of the K&N kits listed to fit my truck. Only objection is the grommet for the filter minder was a little too small for the hole in the intake tube so fits a little sloppy but will find one at auto parts store to snug up.

2002 Ford Excursion, 7.3L, Limited, 4WD, Auto. installed in about 45 minutes, had all the connections for the factory air box sensors, everything fit nicely. very impressed with this unit for the money. I might upgrade the filter once it is time to change it, but the fitment, and performance gains are defiantly noticeable. Turbo spools much sooner, and actually takes the turbo to my tuners boost warning now. The boost would not get that high regardless of what filter I ran before. I will be checking the mileage and try to get back here and let you know if I noticed any difference. But, initially very impressed for the money.

This was definately a bang for my buck! It not only upped my gpm, increased my torque and rpm, it also slightly lowered my transmission temp. Very easy to install and took only 10 minutes. The only thing I didn't like was the long bolts on the clamps.

I have a 2002 Ford F250 Super duty with the 7.3L Diesel and was looking for more MPG. A friend advised me that a high performance air intake would add a least 1 to 2 MPG. So off I go through the WWW searching. What I found out these things are relative expensive items for what you get. I looked into K&N and others and they were much more than I was willing to pay. Then Google results came in from Amason and WA-LA The Spectre Performance Air showed up and a good price. The purchase was easy and shipping was quick. Upon installation the instructions were a little vague, but had good pictures whiched helped. I had to lengthen the IAT sensor line as it was to short to be placed where it needed to be. Other than that everything else fit perfiectly. As for more MPG I'm a little disapointed as the first tank millage, there was little or no improvement. What I have notice is there is an increase in throttle response when taking off. I can't wait and see the numbers when pulling my 7000 lbs camper this spring. I recomend this product as it was a low cost solution.
