This was not as lightweight as I expected as the handles are very sturdy but it does the job very well so long as you practice working with an angled set of blades. Good quality, good price and easy to clean off the grassy stains etc.

Other reviewers have complained that these shears are heavy, but this is because of the locking mechanism inside the handles, which is easy to use. Twist both handles outwards to release the lock, extend or retract them and twist both inwards to lock. You can feel when they have locked.The shears are well made, sturdy and very sharp. I am very pleased with them after a couple of months' use.

These shears are really good & sharp. They cut easily & makes cutting my borders so much easier due to the extending handles. Finishes off my lawn & gives a neat manicured look. My only problem with them is handles don’t click into place while extended so due to the movement of cutting one side keeps slipping.
