Bought this two weeks ago to mount my spare on the boat trailer before heading to Florida from NY. Had a blow out today and went to pull the spare off and saw the broken tab. I was very close to losing the whole thing on a major highway. Who knows what that could have caused. This could have been bad!

It's actually a very good product. Seems very strong and slightly heavy (well built) I was able to position it right above my A frame which gave me even more support. The tire sits freely secured but also securely right on top of it so with many road bounces the tire holder should not feel the stress because it sits flat on the A frame. The trailer came with a welded one on the side but I prefer it in front for easier loads to be loaded from the sides.

A brisé après un mois d'utilisation. La plaque de support de la roue a fendue en deux. J'ai perdu ma roue de secours en circulant sur la route. Très mauvaise qualité.

Very happy I purchased this spare tire holder. Just so you know, the stainless hardware included is metric. You can always go to the hardware and swap these bolts out with SAE though.

Very nice quality and fits perfect! Great product that looks great for a great price. Very easy to install on my 2021 continental 24’ boat trailer tongue.

Used to manage 3x5 i-frame and pontoon tire with heavy inset. This mount is solid. Only issue is bolts holding tire are not same as 1/2in lugs. I just added my own stainless lags and fixed issue. I tested by standing on to enter and exit boat and not even a wobble. Added lock and coverand road ready. Wish seller would make a hub carrier to bolt on like it.

Very well made and sturdy. Not only is it made of stainless steel, the included hardware is also stainless steel. Very good welds and overall finish. Looks great and works great! No instructions were included but installation is very straight forward.

It would be a better product if they would add two basic components that would allow you to padlock your spare tire without having to use a cable or chain. Pretty simple modification that shouldn’t add but a few dollars to the costs. The edges are very sharp. If you put this carrier in a place where you might fall and hit it or hit it while working your winch, you will be in for a nasty cut. It would be safer if they used a grinder or sander to bevel and smooth the edges. I put mine on a heavily galvanized trailer. I had to elongate the holes a little to make it fit since the galvanize made the square tubing a little oversized. They build this thing with very close tolerances. Not a show stopper but did add quite a bit of time to the installation. Luckily, I had the tools needed to make the modifications. The plate they use is very thin. It would be nice if it was a little thicker. Again, another mod that would drive up the price. The welds look really good but are not very big. It should be OK, though. It’s only supporting the spare tire. It’s not integral to the structure of the trailer. It can be adjusted to fit several sizes of square tubing and the SS hardware is nice. Overall, I’m happy with the product and it looks good installed. I would recommend trying it out.

Bought it because it was stainless steel in hopes it with last a long time. Welds are real nice. Hardware provided was stainless also. Fit perfectly on my 3x3 trailer post. Easy to install. Will see if it holds up!
