I added this product to lossen scale and calcium into the water as suggested by other purchasers and it was useless. But after draining then spraying it on surfaces as directed with a bit of scrubbing it worked well.I am lowering the PH and using another brand to prevent the build up, hoping it works.

Wow, this stuff is amazing! Every once in awhile I get scale build up in my hot tub. I usually drain and scrub it by hand. A total pain! I looked around and found this and it came the next day. I dumped the entire bottle in and the next morning the shell was silky smooth. The water is crystal clear. Will buy more for maintenance.

I had a film of grit developing on my hot tub. Likely culptri calcium build up. From researching, it seemed that high ph causes the issue. My issue was not as bad as others but the gritty feel to the hot tub was ruining the experience. I did not want to drain yhe water since it was a recent fill. I poured a bottle of this stuff and a few hours later the shell was silky smooth again. I changed out the filter, tested the water. The ph was so low that the test strip did not register. Will slowly raise the ph vut ai think I will keep a bottle of this stuff handy to avoid the calcium build up.

I had hard scale everywhere in the hot tub, emptied tub and scrubbed like crazy with a brush and vinegar, I only got a small portion off and it would have taken many hours to do the whole tub without even getting it completely clean. Instead, I filled it back up put a full bottle of this in the tub and ran the heater, next morning all the scale was gone. Draining and re-filling, I will use small dose from now on to keep from building up.

Prior to purchasing this product, I used a razor and brush to remove the thicker spots. I had no improvement using this product. I also tried to seal the solution behind saran wrap to see if keeping it wet longer would help. When I removed the wrap, it initially looked perfectly clean. But in 30 seconds the film was visible again. My calcium build-up is not excessive. So I hoped a cleaner like this would help. I am hiring someone to clean the tile. Not worth the effort when there are not products sufficient to clean on your own.
