1.INSPECT YOUR BOW - Always inspect your bow thoroughly before each shooting session to ensure that it is in good working order. Check for worn, loose or missing components.

2.NEVER DRY-FIRE YOUR BOW - Dry-firing is drawing and releasing the bowstring without an arrow on the string. Dry-firing will likely cause damage to the bow and serious injury to the archer.

3.ISPECT YOUR ARROW - To avoid product damage or personal injury, inspect your arrows to ensure that they are straight,undamaged and that each nock is in good condition. A cracked nock can break when fired from the bow and cause the bow to “dry fire” .

4.KEEP STRINGS WAXED- Apply a light coat of high quality bowstring wax to your string each time you shoot your bow. This will help reduce wear on your string. Inspect the string regularly and replace it when there is evidence of wear, every 5000 shots or every 12 months.

5.AVOID HIGH TEMPERATURE - Always store your bow in a cool dry place. High temperatures, such as those that can occur in the interior of a vehicle, can cause serious damage to your bow.

This is a great gift for anyone responsible person. This is definetly NOT a toy! It has so many parts and accessories, I didn't know where to start. The quality is more than I expected! Now it's my favorite hobby. You'll want to watch a video or two for pointers and best form. This has every thing you'll need for beginners.

This is a complete kit. But the user manual needs some work. Especially for a novice like me. The quality of the bow is first class. I have not yet mastered the set up as this is my first compound bow that is adjustable. I plan on finding a local archer that understands how an adjustable compound bow works and learn from him. Great find.
