Since no one makes a new VCR anymore, I reluctantly ordered a used one. It arrived earlier than promised, and well packaged. it was almost “ Like new”, and fully functional, with appropriate remote control and a paper instruction manual. I am very pleased with this vendor.

Disliked that it only worked for 2 hours than quit. It's a vcr, I was using it to play tapes. Duh.

The VHS has gone obsoleted for a long time but I got several old VHS home video tapes needed to be recovered. The machine showed some sign of usage on the bottom but it's ok. As long as not damaged too far away it's still acceptable as am important second hand product. This model was the last VHS machine that Sony made about 20 more years ago. Some nice features are still working fine like auto-tracking and image correction mode, I was kind of surprised because my previous one didn't have that function. I tested pretty everything on this one rewind and fast forward all working good. RCA jack output all works good as an older machine. I connected to my DVD recorder to backup my old family VHS tapes. So far everything works perfect. I got all my family VHS video recovered to DVD and also got it converted to MP4 to store in my computer. No more losing important memories. I truly appreciate I can still find this VHS machine on Amazon. Thanks to all.

Worked great until yesterday. I had probably watched 8 to 10 VHS movies since I purchased this back in February. I work two jobs so I don't have a lot of time to watch movies. But I also don't have high-speed internet in my home because I'm not there enough to make it cost-effective. So I like to watch VHS movies and DVD movies when I get the chance.Was watching From Dusk Until Dawn yesterday afternoon and got almost to the end of the movie when the picture went sideways. White screen with squiggles and hazy snippets of the of the movie. Backed up the tape back past where the issue started and tried playing forward but it now affected the whole playback. Even starting over from the beginning still had the same result. My take on this is the machine is now broken.Gently used, hardly used, and would have expected to get more than eight or so VHS plays out of it for $150.Would not recommend this seller.

The surface of the unit is scratched and actually a portion of it is sticky. There was no remote, but that was indeed disclosed. Let’s face it, if one needs a VCR, they are more than likely to pay money for it and I think the vendor took it manage of that.It is what it is.

WOW,,, I mean WOW.. this was a great purchase..... I need to replace a (missing) VHS machine, I think one of my boys "borrowed" the original one... So I searched and searched for a long time and then BAMM there is was !!! With a pricing that was AWESOME and totally complete. I really want to thank this vendor for keeping my hope alive and a way to keep watch some very very old monster movie that are not or never be on DVD. Thanks from the bottom of my Old Movie Heart Fan ;)

I got mine in February 2014. It arrived in good condition. It came with a manual, A/V cables, and a remote control. The main reason that I bought it is because I need it to transfer some VHS tapes to a digital file format. I hooked this unit up with my computer and so far so good. It provides an excellent picture with an auto tracking feature that has a similar level of excellence. Like some people here have commented, it's very user friendly. If you have a basic understanding on how to operate a VCR you really don't need the manual. The only drawback that I've noticed is that it won't rewind my tapes completely. At first it would rewind fine, but now it completely stops with about a 1/2 hour of recorded tape left. Because of this, I have just ordered a VHS tape rewinder. Other than the rewinding issue, everything else works the way it should. I think that with a used product like this one, there's always a risk that it might not function at 100% of its capabilities. All in all, I would definitely recommend it. Who knows? Maybe the one you order might actually work perfectly.
