Sonoff is one of the most popular brands for home automation, and I already have several of their products in my home. This smart relay adds the functionality I needed and has been working flawlessly in the spot where I installed it.With its compact size, Matter support, and AC/DC power options, it’s quite universal solution that can handle a variety of tasks in a smart home setup. However, it's important to read the specifications and limitations carefully to avoid any unexpected issues, as every device has its constraints.

Ich wollte endlich meinen elektrischen Garagentorantrieb smart machen. Die Möglichkeit, den Sonoff Mini-D smart switch zu testen, kam mir daher genau entgegen.Beim Auspacken stellte ich fest, dass das Relais zwar marktüblich breit und lang ist, aber relativ dick. In eine Unterputzdose hinter einer Steckdose möchte ich den Switch nicht unterbringen müssen. Für meinen Anwendungsfall spielt die Größe aber keine große Rolle.Gut fand ich, dass man das Relais laut Produktbeschreibung mit Wechselstrom und mit Gleichstrom betreiben kann. Hier hatte ich vor, den Gleichstrom von meinem Garagentorantrieb zu nutzen. Soviel zur Theorie. In der Praxis hat das leider nicht funktioniert.Auch nach mehrmaligem Durchmessen der Stromzuleitung mit 24 Volt Gleichstrom, regte sich der Switch nicht. Die blaue LED, die beim ersten Start und Anlernen blinken sollte, blieb dunkel.Erst nachdem ich 230 V Wechselspannung aus einer angrenzenden Steckdose angeschlossen habe, fing die blaue LED an zu Blinken.Erst dann konnte ich den Switch mit der ewelink-App anlernen. Der Vorteil der App ist, dass ich sehr viele Dinge einstellen kann, wie z. B. auch der gewünschte Zustand nach einem Stromausfall. Das war mir wichtig, dass das Garagentor nach einem Stromausfall nicht unkontrolliert geöffnet wird. Auch konnte ich hier einstellen, dass den Kontakt beim Schalten als Pulssteuerung erfolgt und eingestellt, dass dieser für 0,5 Sekunden erfolgen soll. Die Einstellungen in der App sind wirklich umfangreich, auch wenn die Übersetzung teilweise sehr kreativ ist.Danach habe ich den Switch über Matter in meinem Smarthome-System Home Assistant angelernt, um es nicht über die ewelink-App nutzen zu müssen und eigene Automationen erstellen zu können.Jetzt kann ich mein Garagentor smart ansteuern!Insgesamt ein für mich passendes Relais, auch wenn ein negativer Beigeschmack verbleibt, da die Nutzung von Gleichstrom nicht funktioniert hat.
