These woodblocks are made pretty poorly - the mallet head on one of mine popped off really quick (within 2 weeks) and needs reglueing. The blocks themselves are shoddy construction, and don't even make a proper "woodblock" sound. Very high pitched, just sounds like you're striking a 2x4. No resonance at all. Don't waste your time or money, not worth it.

The sound actually hurts to hear. It's a weird high pitch but also just incredibly thin, which is not what you want in a woodblock.

Pretty good quality, especially given the price. The pitch and tone is different between them, but it's not a standard chord interval, so be aware that is the case.
