I will have to add some Bee’s wax to the bowl to get better sound. None of the pipes that I had in the Navy worked right away until the wax was added. It is nicer than the one I had in the 60’s.

This item came in a nice wooden box but didn't actually work. We kept it anyway and coughed up for a pricier one and were able to use the box anyhow.

used for a concert with community band that called for a bosuns whistle. inexpensive but really a cool little piece. Give to a navy freind or sailor. they will appreciate it.

Whistle was great for my kids in their Sea Scout Ship. I ordered two and both arrived with a large blemish on the brass decoration on the box.

I’m not sure what I expected for $12 but I was hoping for something better. First, the whistle doesn’t work. No matter how hard I blow or try different ways, only the sound of my air passing threw the tube. It’s corroded. The anchor on the box is off center and turned slightly, Not symmetrical or square to the box. I buy things like this as props for outfits or to add to art pieces to give them that extra something. I guess I can still use it in that manner. Overall, very disappointed. 👎🏼
