This thing did not work at all crap piece of junk. Don’t waste your money. You’re better off sticking your ear next to a pump to see if it’s working.

Did a great job picking up the fuel pump solenoid on my Carlin oil burner and you can feel the magnetic field about 3/4 inch away causing the disc to spin. Not so good on the circulator pump; the thickness of the pump housing may be an issue? Any thoughts on this? Any way will keep it for a quick way to check if power is coming from the control to the solenoid coil.

If you work on HVACR systems; especially refrigeration, this little tool is excellent for testing solenoid coils. If the solenoid coil is energized, and this little guy is anywhere near it, it will spin like crazy. Unfortunately, they're small so I lose them.
