So easy to make and feels like good quality. Replacing everything on my board with these.

It's a cool idea. It works great if you can get the cable to connect to the pin. But I wasn't able to get all the cables to work after many recuts. It's just not going to be as reliable as soldered cables, imo. I decided to give up on it.

I used the kit to rewire my peddle board and the heads are nice and small and seem secure and sturdy. Sounds great too. Very happy 😃

I purchased this kit in Sept 2021 and have used these cables heavily ever since. Note, every week I play live and plug/unplug these when I set up. Never an issue. The sound quality is excellent, the connector ends are tiny and not once have I had to rebuild one of them. Put them together and they work. I put these up against the most expensive cable kits you can buy. They're an absolute no-brainer.

I have been a musician for 43 years and I have gone through a million cables. I don’t play live anymore but I am a guitar pedal junkie, always trying out new gear.My pedalboard is made by Temple Audio and these cables are perfect for my needs. I can create cables that are just the right length and my pedalboard is very clean and organized.I had heard all the negatives about solderless cables being inferior and was really sceptical of them. My first set was made by Boss and they were fantastic but the price is pretty high so I tried these.I actually prefer these because of the design when I need a right angle cable and they are super easy to make. I like them so much I bought a second box just in case I needed them.Sound quality is as close to soldered cables that in my opinion there is not really a difference. I mean I’m not touring the world or anything but I do value quality gear. I believe these are great quality at a great price.Sometimes you have to try things and at this point I’m hooked.

Most of the pedals on my board use pre-assembled Hosa cables. I've never had a problem with those. However, as my board has grown in size and complexity I needed to get longer cables and some with straight ends. In my previous life I soldered a lot of cables but with age getting higher and patience growing smaller, I just wanted something a little less involved. This solderless kit was a good solution. Assembly was pretty straight forward. I was pretty patient with the process and and all of my cables worked. I'll probably get another kit and make a few more where I need to tighten up the space between pedals here and there. Price is great. I also like that the kit comes with everything you need including tools.

While searching for cable kits, I came across this product. Most reviews were good. A few reviews criticized the quality of the kit, its tools, and claimed difficulty in getting them to work. I trusted the good reviews and was not sorry. I bought two kits capable of making 12 cables. I put them together with 12 out of 12 working the first time. NO remakes. I attribute this to 3 things: good product, good and consistent assembly technique, and patience. I read the directions and followed them. I used the same procedure for every cable. First, because the cable was coiled, no matter where you trim, the end of the cable was slightly curved. I straightened each end before inserting it into the plug. I pushed the cable in firmly but not overly hard. I continued inward pressure on the cable while slowly folding it downward to make the right angle. This was to make sure I didn’t separate the cable from the internal pin while folding the cable down. The screw driver was more than adequate to tighten all the screws. In fact, I after making 12 cables, I put it in my guitar tool kit. The screwdriver was magnetized, but I used a rare earth magnet to further magnetize the little screwdriver. The screws are too tiny to maneuver with your fingers. I firmly pushed each screw onto the tip of the magnetized driver and laid it aside while I inserted the cable. After putting on the cap, I picked up the driver with the screw stuck on and screwed it in firmly to make sure the shield would get connected. Then I tested for shorts and continuity with my multimeter. I repeated the process with the second plug, again testing for shorts and continuity. If you don’t test each one after making, you won’t know which plug is not working after putting on both ends making you have to do both again. After a couple, I got more proficient, and the process went pretty quickly.I set up my pedalboard using all 12 custom length cables. Turned on the power. And presto, sound! The great price on this cable kit and the fact that 12 of 12 worked on the first assembly made me buy more. Of course, I have no word on endurance yet. But at this point I see no reason not to highly recommend these. Be patient. I think you’ll like them, too.Update: I have now made a total of 50+ patch cables connecting 80 pedals on 7 boards. All of them worked on the first try. The cables originally made are still working. Admittedly, I don’t gig anymore, so these stay in my studio. But pedals being added or pulled off the pedalboard have not resulted in loss of continuity. Out of all the plugs I’ve used, I had one plug that had a defective insulator between the tip and shield rendering it unusable. While that was disappointing, I’m still fully sold on this product and a huge fan. These are fabulous!
