Introduction to Usage
- First let the cleaning block absorb enough water, squeeze some out with your hands, and retain about 70 percent of the water. They could be bigger in size with × lengt. I have to put 1.5 of them in order to get it in the square space of the soldering gun holder. But they thicker than others after u put water.

I had no idea they were so small. I've always had a kitchen sponge on a cup saucer/plate. I could drag the tip of the soldering iron across without it moving. These are clearly made for some sort of solder stand housing or something. Takes two hands to clean the tip now, one holding the sponge...

Fits perfectly into the cavity for a sponge that is often built into a soldering iron stand. Sponges come in a small ziploc and puff right up, ready to use, when wetted.Just like a paperclip, does the intended job and does it well at a low price.

After using a glass, baby food jar, filled with a small kitchen sponge, for decades, it will be nice to have the "official" tip cleaning product for a change.These tip cleaners arrive in a plastic zip-lock bag and really don't look all that robust at first.But, this is another case where a little bit of water goes a long way. They come to life when water is added and expand to the hulking size of 2.2" by 1.6" by 0.4" thick. Quite a transformation from the thin, little "wafers" in the package.I've already tried one and it performed just as expected. The 30 of them just might be a lifetime supply.Pretty good, given the price.
