The only downside i can name about this iron holder is that my particular iron, an 80 watt Weller with a ring of LEDs at the end of the handle, doesn't fit in the bell end of the holder. An iron without the LEDs will fit just fine, and I can still use the stand without the perfect fit with my particular iron.

I just used this "soldering station" for the first time - and what a fight it was !!1) the whole unit is made with such thin gauge that the unit has very little weight. Hence, it won't hold in one place - and flops all around removing/inserting the soldering iron into the holder.2) What is this little dip for the sponge??? It is pretty much impossible to clean the tip with a wet sponge without hold int fricking sponge inplace!!! If you don use two hands - be prepared to go chase the sponge as it slips out of that silly divit.3) The "coil" that holds the soldering iron is so flimsy that it will flop around - and because the unit is so light weight - the WHOLE unit flops around like one of them bobble head dolls.I am going to:*Mount a piece of thick steel to the bottom via some screws. I'll have to thread some holes in the steel. I will also put some rubber feet on the bottom of the steel to prevent sliding.*rivet a piece of 1/2 x 1/2 aluminum angle to provide a retaining edge keep the sponge from sliding out of the tray.Believe me there is a difference between "cost effect" and flat out cheap - also known as worthless . This "station" is CHEAP!

Perfect soldering stand and tip cleanerDelighted .Tip cleaner can pictured is not color black as advertised but a gold colored container was shipped, the brass colored wool is not brass , sticks to magnet .

This is a great product. The holder holds your soldering iron perfectly, and keeps it secure. Base is made of metal, and the spring holder is held on by a single screw and nut. The other “domed” piece holds the “Brillo “ pad and is also metal. Both pieces are thin metal, but solid. It’s not fancy, but it does what it’s supposed to do, and for 9.99 US dollars, you can’t beat it. Absolutely what I needed, and would highly recommend. Came packaged in a sealed plastic bag and all parts were there just as described.
