Note:
1. Insert the tip into the metal wire inside the mouth cleaner to remove the residual solder from the tip.
2. Do not use the metal wire in the mouth cleaner as a sponge to sweep the iron head. Because the wire shape, such as a spring, may spill the melted residual solder on the iron head, use with caution.

I solder 8-12 hours a day and I need these to keep my tip clean between each solder. I solder A LOT so this helps. It's a must have if you solder. I use wet sponges to quickly wipe away the solder after I use it and I use the brass sponge when I begin soldering. Definitely something I have to have so I'll buy a lot more of this as needed. It is pretty small but I just rotate it when it starts to gunk up. I go through around 2 a week. Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

This product looks really good for its price. In the package you get 6 large bundles of brass wire, just as you’d expect. It seems just as abrasive as the stuff that came with my soldering station (X-Tronic Model #3020-XTS), which works very well. Each ball was too large to fit in the holder on my station, so I cut a smaller piece which fits nicely. I’ve attached some photos of the wire.
