Pros. The remote range is >1500 ft. even through the aluminum siding on the house The solar charging is fantastic and does not need direct sun light to charge/work. Its easy to get to the batt. cell if you ever need to replace it. Comes with a USB charge cable for fast charging if needed. The motion sensor is long range and requires heat to be triggered so leaves/wind will not set it off. 1 remote for every unit in range so could be good or bad If awake when triggered you can switch to mode 4 then back to mode 3 with the remote to stop the sirenCons. The remote will not turn the unit on if you turn it off with the button on the back of the unit. Replacing the Batt. cell does require some basic soldering skills. The usb charging cord has a barrel connecter on it so harder to replace. You can only turn it completely off by pushing the button on the back of the unit. The mounting whole-slot is on the bottom instead of the top so use double sided tape or wire. The remote does not have a panic button to instantly sound the alarm. You can only stop a triggered alarm by switching the mode with the remote or button on the back. Despite the cons I now have 3 units and may get more for all the planters around the house. In my boat to run off anyone that reaches in to take something. On the steps going up to the porch to keep stray critters off and my cats on at night. On a newly planted tree with some plants around it to keep the deer away.

UPDATE: THE UNIT DOES NOT WORK ON THE 4TH MODE WHICH IS 4 BLINKS AND NO ALARM SO IT ONLY WORKS WITH THE ALARM AND IT GOES OFF WHEN ANYTHING BLOWS AROUND ITS A LITTLE BIT ANNOYING AND IT ALREADY STOPPED WORKING FULLY LIKE I SAID THE FOURTH MODE DOES NOT WORK. JUST BLINKS SO YOU COULD SEE WITHOUT ANY NOISE, I'M HOPING FOR A REFUND OR TO PURCHASE MORE WITH THAT ONE BEING REPLACED I WILL LET YOU KNOW OTHERWISE IT IS NOT WORTH ITit blinks you can see it far away it does sound an alarm if motion is detected yet it doesn't go off for sleep for moving items such as tarp or when the wind blows and blows anything around it will go off it is false detection and you have to keep setting the remote because it does go off quite a bit when it's windy out for no reason it is not PIR detection it is just simple motion of anything, very cheap but I suppose kind of effective for scaring people away..

Deer were eating my Morning glory plants. Instructions in broken English but i figured it out and after the very first night, I see new leaves on my plants. Plus if if an intruder enters the area, he will get the pants scared off of him.

I purchased this, in hopes that it would deter raccoons, which has been a fail so far. I choose to just use the flashing lights, as the alarm is loud, and no setting for how long it sounds. i have cats, and they tend to trigger it often. Least the flashing shows well on the security cameras, and I know better, when to go out to chase them off. Can't really attest to how well it solar charges yet, or waterproofing. It on my back porch, with limited sun exposure. Have some magnets on the way, for mounting to a metal surface. Hopefully, it will work out better, all around. Fully charged, works well for over a week, on just the flashing lights. Running in night mode, on frequent triggers. A chime mode (brief sounding), would have been ideal for this product. Remote works well, and with good range. Even with the light outdoors, and from inside a concrete block walls. Product works well, as advertised, and no complaints, worth what I paid. Nothing wrong with it
