Placed at the entrance of the pool deck. Great to warn you if you have a trespassing person or you have young kids. Make sure to put in a sunny location.

These are great solar security alarms. We have bought 8 of these over the last year to deter anyone from coming onto our property. They consistently work great with good motion detection. We have placed them around the perimeter of our property and so far, so good. These are easy to use and the best thing is that they are solar powered - no messy wires! I would definitely buy these again and highly recommend.

I initially charge the strobe with usb, then tested it. The motion works well, one sets the mode with the included remote control. Options include, motion detection 24 hours or only night. Other options is to enable the siren or just use silent strobe effect.The siren/horn isn't really loud but definitely will get the attention of the person triggering the alarm. The strobe also isn't super bright but will easily be viewable at night.The unit has solar panel is supposed to keep it charged with a minimum of 4 hours sunlight every day. I haven't tested this feature yet and will update the review if the solar panel is inadequate. So far, it has held it's charge without solar charging so pretty frugal in energy usage.

I wasn't sure what 129db would sound like, but while setting it up, I found out that it's VERY loud.I went ahead and set mine up in a flashing only mode, but it will be easy to change if I decide to use the audible feature.
