Product works great at a very reasonable price. Cons: Screws are way too short and narrow. If you need longer screws the odds are that you won’t have them in your toolbox because of the narrowness of the screws. Also screw holes are 2.75” apart and if you would like to mount this on an electrical box, the screw holes will not match because the electrical box or CAT 5 boxes have the screw hole a bit over 3”.

Great light. This was less than $20 while the alarm company wanted $130. So glad I looked on Amazon first. Great output and perfect alarm indicator.

They doesn't use a lot of amps but the mounting really sucks! Good enough for my needs but they make it hard to modify because the mounting screw holes need a very small but long screw, (over 2") which comes with it, but try and mount this to drywall with what amounts to a 3" skinny nail. Going into drywall, they are a little lose. Might go with 2 sided tape if they fail. Going into wood a little better. Not as bright as I thought they'd be but they light up the room for sure & that was the purpose! On the front of my house/garage, very noticeable at night but probably not as much in the daytime. I guess it's good enough to signal my neighbors & the police to know which house, if they're driving by in the daytime!

I used this for testing my new alarm control panel, since it's much more quiet than the siren. The effect is perfect, and it works every time.Haven't installed it yet because the eaves on my ranch home are easily within reach of a tall teenage kid who might want it for himself. I've already got some hardware up to discourage thieves, but hesitate to go too far & thereby invite the very thing I'm trying to avoid. If & when I do put it up, I'll probably have to super-glue the threads to prevent someone from just walking up and unscrewing it, even with the motion sensors that would be screaming while they did so.One question that someone answered for me above: it's rated for 6-12v DC (battery). But my alarm pushes out 13.5v DC to the sirens/strobes. Apparently that's fine, it'll handle up to 17v.

It's blue, it flashes, it's 12V. That's exactly what I needed, and that's exactly what it does. If you need something that is blue, flashes, and runs on 12V, this is a good solution. If you need something that's red, flashes, and runs on 12V, or blue, flashes, and runs on 24V, this is not the item for you. You could, however, get this and run it on 24V with a regulator, but why would you do that? Get the 24V version instead! If you need a strobe light that doesn't flash, you need to go look up the definition of strobe light.

Sleek, well-made, weather-resistant, and very brilliant strobe light. The screws it comes with aren't very useful, you'll want to obtain more sturdy 3/16" or so bolts to mount this permanently anywhere. Super-simple hook-up wires, positive and ground. The purpose for which I purchased these lights is for rear emergency illumination on my motorcycle where they mount atop the saddlebags. Visible in daylight but intense at night. These lights are only a third to a quarter the cost of mainline emergency equipment manufacturers' products and just as good. I purchased two, the standard red and blue.

Purchased this to be a second strobe that would stay on after siren/strobe unit would time out. this way i know that alarm was tripped as i walked up drive way. super easy to install, and is built quite well. nice and bright as well.

I put four (4) of these on the exterior of my home (on the second level, under the eaves) and had ADT install them with our house alarm. They work great, very bright at night, which is what I was looking for.If you are looking for an easy way to add attention getting (lets the cops know which house it is from a distance) strobe lights to your house alarm, you can't beat these lights. The way I look at it, if someone is breaking into my home and they have a lookout, he or she is going to drop a load in their pants when the alarm goes off; and they are sure to get the attention of the crook inside, suggesting that they vacate the area quickly.
