I installed these on 4x4 fence posts in back yard. They charge in a short time and light up my fence are very well.

As I have other solar lights in my yard, I was hopeful that these would work for at least a while at night, but was not very confident. They are not very expensive, and so I just tried them out.Boy was I wrong about them!! In all the good ways to be wrong as well!!These are pretty bright, and was very surprised to wake up in the morning, at about 3:30-4 am, and saw that they were still on!!!!These are very easy to install (only problem is not enough screws are provided), and look great!

These look great on our 4 x 4 deck posts. Wanted a little light at night without having to turn on lights to attract bugs and these give off great light and look good as well.

Superb product, all eight lights work well and very easy to fix to standard 4 x 4 posts, as well as the added bonus of protecting the post from rain, they look very modern and stylish.

Update: 10/14/2024After only about 3 months of use, these once beautiful lights are almost useless. I contacted Amazon about a month ago and they offered me a refund, however since these are still being sold I told them I prefer to contact the seller for a solution or replacement. They said they would have the seller contact me but thus far I've heard nothing. I wouldn't ordinarily do this and should probably have just accepted the refund but I really love the lights, when they are working. I have now lowered the rating to 1 star since that is the lowest I can go. I can only assume that the seller has no interest in providing good customer service on a product that should last a few years and not fail after just a few months.Update: 9/8/2024Well just a few months after my 5 star and best ever rating, I am very disappointed. Now, at least 7 of the 16 lights go dark pretty quickly (after 3 to 5 hours of light). They are still beautiful and bright but now when I look out at them late at night, or if I wake up an hour or two after midnight, many of them are already dead. They all come back the next night however the number of bad ones keeps climbing. For some reason I thought they contained batteries that I could remove and charge, but no such solution.So I've changed from 5 stars to 2 stars, only because they are so attractive and bright-when they are lit.June 2024:I have purchased solar post cap lights for my 16 posts a few times. None were that great regardless of price. I always had a few that didn't work or worked intermittently. These were the best I've ever had. Perfect fit and brighter than any I've previously tried.I was initially concerned that they didn't fit my 4" x 4' vinyl posts until I read the instructions and found that there is a removable reducer piece that removes easily. Once I figured that out, every single light powered up beautifully, right out of the box, even before they ever had a chance to be charged by the sun. They are attractive and make my deck look beautiful. How will they hold up over time? I don't know but for now, I could not be happier with this purchase which also came at a great price. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

All worked perfectly on arrival. There's a choice of 2 ways to install, either on top of a fence cap or without a fence cap. So easy to install and I'm a 62 year-old woman!

The caps were easy to install and work great, putting off just the right amount of light. I did run into an issue with the hardware. The piece that mounts to the post has 4 screw holes on top, and 2 screw holes on the sides. The instructions show to use the holes on the top, which made sense on my 4x4 pressure treated posts. Based on the fact that there are 4 screw holes on the top and the instructions show to use those holes, you would think these would come with 4 screws for each light. That is not the case. For a 16 pack, I received enough screws for 9 lights. I requested additional screws but had to go through the return process. The second set of 16 lights came with enough screws for 8 lights. I am not sure why they would design something with 4 screw holes, expecting you to only use 2 of them. Using 4 definitely makes the light sit more securely than using 2. I could have easily gone to the hardware store to pick up more screws, but manufacturers shouldn't be expecting every customer to do so.

I wanted to use these lights for a bit before posting my review. I purchased these in September and it is now almost the end of November. These lights have done exactly what I was looking for them to do. They are a warm light in color and not overly bright and look great. All, 8 are still working and charging. On a non overcast day they will have enough charge to produce light all the way until the sun comes up again.I did have to purchase longer wood screws to secure them into the beam. This not a fault of the product, but i did not want to drill into the vinyl coverings around my deck posts, and the vinyl goes above the post by about 2 inches.
