I got this mounting pole to replace a rusted pole from a solar street light that lasted less than one year. The size and diameter of this pole are exactly the same as the original one, but its seems a little ticker than the original pole, so I expect it to last more than the original pole.It came with all required hardware to install it and installation is pretty straight forward.Considering the manufacturer says it is made of 304 stainless steel it should last for a few years without any signal of rust.

This pile is very well made and thick. Perfect for the solar light I’m installing. I like that you can also use it on a pole. I do wish it had a lever so you can angle it, but it will work for what I need

“Solar Light Pole - Stainless Steel Solar Street Light Mounting Bracket for Outdoor Light Pole Mount for Barn Lights, Post Trees Black Security Light Mount Extension Arm Pole Kit (1.9IN)”We own 11 different solar street lights, and all of them came with mounting poles. However, one of the mounting poles is showing signs of rust. I’m not necessarily worried that it will rust through, but I don’t like the look of the rust running down the mounting surface. This mounting pole appears to be very well-made, although it’s nothing remarkable. When comparing it side-by-side with my other mounting poles, it’s identical to most of them, but it’s a thinner gauge metal than some of them. The manufacturer claims that this mounting pole is made out of stainless steel, and I have no reason to doubt that. However, a metal can be non-magnetic without being stainless steel. That being said, this mounting pole is non-magnetic. The bracket that comes with the mounting pole, however, is ferromagnetic (magnets stick to it).Only time will tell if this mounting pole will hold up to the elements, and not rust. If I have any problems with it in the future, I’ll be sure to update this review.

I bought this pole to hang a solar light to a pole. The light was one of those types with the solar panel built into the light itself and came with hardware to be installed by the side of a house. The pole contained all the hardware needed to install on a pole and the standard size of the tube made it easy to adapt to the light. The metal used for the pole is a bit thin so do not expect this to last more than a couple of years without starting to show rust, if you need to last longer, put on another coat of anticorrosive paint but that's another conversation. Good replacement overall.

I got this to repair a solar light fixture that snapped its plastic mounting bracket/tube due to snow and poor design. The light fixture needed a smaller diameter tube than this mounting bracket so I had to improvise with some PVC pipe to take up the extra space. The finished product is super sturdy and I'm certain the stainless steel construction will never fail from the weight of snow or ice. I'm very pleased with this mounting bracket and highly recommend it.
