Pay Attention when Installing
1.Disconnect power, remove junction box cover, place thephotocontrol through knockout hole and fasten with locknut.
2.Do not install the photocontrol with the Photocell facingartificialor reflected light. This may cause the unit to cycle onand off at night.

While I rated the item well, I did have 2 issues. 1. it came with no installation instructions. While I'm pretty knowledgable about wiring, it would have been a problem for others. Since there were no instructions, there were no directions about how far the device should be fromt the light it's controling. I put mine too close. It kept going through a quick turn off about every minute. I figured it was getting too much light from the light it was controling and thought it was day so turned off. Then it was night and turned on again. I solved the problem by shielding the sensor from the light with a little black electrical tape.

The unit is well built and functions well. However, installation for a post-mounted light was a real struggle. The wires are very short, so I had to nearly mount light, then balance it in the air in order to get the wires close enough to connect to electrical line. If this had longer wires, it would be a 5-star item.
