Easy to install solar light. Installed in my shed last summer (9 mos ago). Light has ceaslessly worked every day. A single one is bright enough to see and find tools in but additional lights would be desireable if I wanted to work in the shed at night. Am very pleased with the purchase and perceived value and would buy again if need arose for a reliable, low output light.

I have bought 6 of these and they are so easy modify for existing light fixtures. We used them to light up our caboose exterior lights. They come on at dusk and shut off at dawn. They are not very bright but the are bright enough to see the steps and light up the red end lights with out being too bright. Love these!

I had just about given up on this light working and planned to uninstall it. It had been up for 2 days in direct, full sun on sunny days and had not worked. After day 3, it finally began working. Hopefully it will continue to work with no problems. It is very easy to install and is quite bright

Bought this unit in order to "upgrade" an existing free-standing, solar powered lantern with metal planter. The 12 year old unit was fine except for the old style solar set up. I was hoping to be able to retro-fit this lamp to my old lantern. The full length, Edison type bulb size was perfect, the 16+ foot length of the cord is optimal, the unplug feature is convenient, the remote is an added benefit that expands the usage/placement of the item. I simply removed the decorative/protective metal cage from the bulb (I didn't need this as the bulb assembly was going to be inside a glass-sided lantern); then I disconnected the solar panel from the bulb unit via the plug-in connector, retro-fitted the bulb section into my lantern, from which I'd already removed the old "guts". Then I re-connected the solar panel cord to the bulb section of the cord. I put the lantern planter where I wanted it to be, ran the cord down the post and into my planting bed in order to get the best sun exposure. Now I have a wonderful light in a far corner of my yard that runs without any electrical wiring needed and I can use the remote control while sitting at my little bistro set in my private little garden nook. I did have a problem with switching the controls from the remote to the auto/on-off solar feature. I dealt directly with the seller who was very helpful getting me back on track.

This keeps chicken coop lit until about 3-4am 7-8hrs during summer time but in winter overcast or partial sun they only last until about 11pm to midnight (4-5hrs) of mostly dim light after 2 hrs. The batteries will eventually fail after being fully depleted so many times. Works Ok for my needs until I can find another solution

I bought this for my daughters playhouse after reading so many good reviews. Maybe it is because I purchased the wire cage light instead of the lamp others reviewed but this barely gives us the same amount light as candle would. It’s cute and it’s already hanging up so we will keep it but I would not recommend it to others, especially not for $30. We bought another LED solar light that is much brighter and was $10 cheaper. It’s not as cute but will allow my daughter to play at night and it can be turned on and off anytime with a remote unlike this which only comes on when the solar panel detects no light.

UPDATE AGAIN. Ok I had to write another review because these things are going strong after five freaking years Excellent excellent product!!! Update: have had them now for a year and still going strong!! Last all night. Would buy again for sure!!When I first got these I was suprised how small they were and thought I would be returning them. But I hung them up to see the light and was very impressed. The light isn’t too strong or too dim. I wouldn’t be able to do surgery under them but could definitely read large print. The second picture is a little deceiving because I took with my new phone that has great night photos so looks brighter than it is. The picture was taken in complete darkness outside. I broke two bulbs and don’t see a way to get replacements Not sure if I can buy a different brand but they came with a replacement bulb. The one bulb fell out Think partly my fault and also they don’t go in very tight. Check size before buying but also think I was picturing bigger ones were needed but after getting them up they looked good. They also stayed on until the sun came up three nights in a row so impressed with how long they stay on. Amazon won’t let me upload a picture for some reason?? But I got the saucer light.
